They've been playing the Belgian underground scene for as long as we can remember and serving dance floors with a deep knowledge of anything wave, industrial, oddball disco and electro but genre hopping like any good dj (duo) out there. Jay L (Falling Up / Deep Street) "Techno City" Mix For Berceuse Heroique

Oliver Hafenbauer is the booker and resident for esteemed club Robert Johnson in Frankfurt. Aside from that, he’s also busy running the label Die Orakel – putting out names like Upsammy and Roman Flügel. Oliver is a local hero who has been working hard behind the scenes and has played an integral role in shaping the scene in Frankfurt in the past few years. We’ve liked what he does for a while, and since Oli played a store opening for us a while back in the city, we knew we had to get him in for a mix. 

Here he steps up with maybe the most club-orientated mix we’ve had for Ace & Tate so far. Enjoy an hour of clattering electronics, cosmic breakbeat, polyrhythms, and some trance-y and spacey electro cuts. It’s top stuff. You can most definitely dance if you wanna.

Ace & Tate Sounds - guest mix by Oliver Hafenbauer

Since 2014 Tominori Hosoya has been steadily releasing music for the love of creative expression.

His music has appeared on the likes of Minuendo Recordings, Snail Juice Records, Mixx Records and many more. However, his most recent outing has seen him appear on the prolific New York based imprint Scissor & Thread with a new EP which see's him operating under the alias of Tomi Chair alongside his own name. The release itself spans the realms of ambient, electronica, house and deep moody soundscapes. 

Based in Tokyo, Japan he has evolved as a producer and disc jockey across a number of years, utilising his own interest in progressive, forward thinking experimental music.

Meandering between worlds he is a truly unique talent and we are delighted to have him contribute to our mix series.

The Primitive Painter are Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke. The duo grew up in Frankfurt and in the early 90s formed Acid Jesus and released some of the decades most celebrated techno on labels like Sven Väth's Harthouse and their own Klang Elektronik. Looking to diversify their sound and inspired by the ambient and IDM coming out on labels like Warp and Apollo, the duo made a masterful ten-track LP of richly melodic, fluid electronica under this moniker. To celebrate Apollo/R&S reissue of the eponymous 94' LP the duo's Jörn Elling Wuttke delivers a killer instalment for Bleep’s mix series. Given the calibre behind the decks here, it’s no surprise that this eighty-minute set is an impeccably crafted collection of house and techno in a variety of it's many forms. While there is plenty of stylistic variation within these parameters - at points the blends take in Italo-Disco, minimal techno, dubbier productions and other four-to-the-floor styles - Wuttke ensures that all of tracks played here maintain an air of class and finesse.
