Desde pequeno que Ankjay teve aptidão para a música. Em casa os seus pais possuíam os grandes clássicos de disco-sound e foi a partir daí que tentava inventar com as cassetes e o vinil.
Quando já possuía idade, começou por se deslocar a algumas discotecas/bares nas redondezas e realmente viu que era um mundo que o fascinava.
Com 15 anos, já tendo um setup aceitável em casa, ingressou na HouseBox, recente na altura, como DJ e que lhe garantiu grande parte da sua experiência.
Experiência essa que se tem vindo a notar de festa para festa, tudo devido ao seu esforço e ao seu gosto pela música.

Começou por tocar em festas para amigos (Passagens de Ano, Festas de Anos, etc) e, mais tarde, tocou na sua primeira casa, em meados de 2007: Adega da Lua, Cuba, Alentejo. Esse ano foi um grande ponto de partida para Ankjay pois passou música em alguns bares na cidade de Beja e ficou em 2º lugar num concurso de DJ's organizado pela LOL LLORET, em Lloret De Mar, Espanha.
Em 2009 foi nomeado para a votação de "Melhor DJ Revelação" pelo programa Comercial In The Mix, produzido pela Rádio Comercial.

Uma das coisas que o marcam é a sua humildade e a facilidade de interacção com o público presente conseguindo criar um ambiente de muita boa disposição.

Actualmente está envolvido, em grande parte do seu tempo, na produção musical tendo já algumas das suas faixas sido lançadas e, também, dedica-se ao projecto que ingressou em 2005 (HouseBox).

Since Ankjay was a little boy, he always had aptitude for music. At home his parents had the greatest disco-sound's classics and he tried to come up with something with cassettes and vinyl.
When age he had already began to go out to some clubs / bars nearby and saw that it was a fascinated world.
With 15 years'old joined the HouseBox as a DJ and that earned him much of his experience that has been noted from party to party, all due to his efforts and his taste for music.

Started playing at private friendship parties (NY, birthday parties, etc.) and later played in his first bar in mid-2007: Adega da Lua, Cuba, Alentejo. That year was a great starting point for him because he started to play in some bars in Beja and also took an 2nd place at a DJ Contest organized by LOL LLORET in Lloret De Mar, Spain.
In 2009 he was appointed to vote for "Best Breakthrough DJ" by Comercial In The Mix, hosted by Radio Comercial (PT).

One of the things that mark him is his humility and the capability of interaction with the audience, able to create an great environment.

Currently is involved much of his time in music production with some of their tracks already been released, and also dedicated to the project which he joined in 2005 (HouseBox).
