This is how Rapper, Singer and Songwriter describes his new song “Whatever” which is set to be released to the public on Sep 30th coming off his highly anticipated EP “Weather Channel”. The song already gained the attention of a section of fans and music lovers after a snippet was added to the rolling credits of ASEM’s first single release MAGICIAN🎩music video and since then fans been requesting for when the song will be released. Well it’s finally here and when asked the reason and inspiration behind song and title ASEM who is West African Ghanaian born based in New York said 
 
“During the recent lockdown and everything being shut down I took the opportunity to finish working on my upcoming Ep “Weather Channel”. This song “Whatever” was written to give people motivation. The popular Spanish phrase “ce sera sera” Whatever will be ,will be inspired the idea behind this song. No matter what we go through we must always look for the silver lining.Whatever is a metaphor for optimism,a negative occurrence in life may have a positive aspect to it”. Asem real name( Nana Wiafe Asante-Mensah ) a rapper, singer, songwriter  actor was born on the shores of Cape Coast, Ghana. He started singing, dancing, reciting poetry and writing at an early age of seven.
                                     
Asem released his first official single "Give me blow" whiles he was still in journalism school on his first project "Better Late Than Never". Songs featured on the project like "Pigaro" raved great reviews and got spins on several radio stations including BBC 1 extra. Asem has released two more projects after that "Solid Ground" which included songs like "No More Kpayor" and "Tough Times Dont Last " with "Bye Bye".

Asem has shared the stage with acts such as Rick Ross, Omarion, Fat Joe, Ja Rule just to name a few.

An animal lover and sports enthusiast, Asem pushes forward a variety of humanitarian projects through his Asem Foundation and several local and International Ngos. Currently working on projects in health and education. 
Asem also Campaigns on healthy lifestyle choices including eating well and exercising.
