Already part of our Midnight Beats 2023 compilation, we are happy to welcome back Sunburnt Octopus to Cinematique for a spot on release.

Sunburnt Octopus enjoyed music from a young age and was that kid with headphones permanently implanted on his ears. His love with electronica blossomed when he exposed himself to the mystical, spiritual and culturally important phenomenon which was and is Goa Trance. Diving deep into the goa and psychedelic sounds, he sought later to extend his embrace around electronic music and found a new love and passion in creating his own sound. Experimentation first began in the year 2001 and since then he has tried to bring out his musical self little by little. Since his initial exposure online in 2005, Sunburnt Octopus has generated a buzz throughout the underground.

More than 10 years ago he released the 'Garden Pack vol. 1' on his own Hypothermik imprint. He always wanted to revisit them, after some time and maturation. So he reinterpreted and reconstructed the original tracks of this EP, gave them new titles and after finishing this process he was looking for a proper home to release them. A perfect match with Cinematique was born!

Another new name on Cinematique: say hi to Camiel Villa. 

Hailing from Utrecht in the Netherlands Camiel Villa is at the heart of the ever growing modern techno & house scene. He mastered the basics of mixing and started producing from an early age, often inspired by the sounds of hardstyle and techno. As his taste grew more mature, his musical interests shifted towards a more tech driven house sound, catalysed by the likes of Jay Lumen, Darius Syrossian and Sidney Charles whom are some of Camiel's biggest inspirations.

With his EP 'Abstract Illusion' Camiel showcases the variety of sounds he has got in store. You will be amazed by these four excellent melodic techno tracks.

Myles Webb is behind the XSPANCE moniker and can be described as a self-taught electronic music producer. After numerous releases, remixes and co-productions, a few of them on Cinematique, it's time to present his latest project 'Luminous'.

This album came together surprisingly quickly, and was produced over the period of a year. Myles wanted to take the listener on a journey with a variety of tracks in the style of music he really loves to make. He finds it exciting experimenting with different genres, infusing the atmospheric melodic landscape sounds that Myles is well known for. He feels these tracks work well together and really tell a story which Myles hopes you all enjoy. We're pretty sure you will love this album as much as we do!

Cinematique was found in the beginning of 2010 by Robin de Lange also known by some of his friends as the 'Manual Driver' for driving Manual Music artists around the country to their gigs. The label started as a Manual distribution label first and has become an official sister label of Manual Music since 1 January 2012.

Cinematique presents itselves as the widescreen of electronic music. It explores the boundaries from house to techno and everything in between. Cinematique offers a platform for open minded producers, known and unknown, who wants to spread their music into this universe. The label will have a strong focus on creativity, originality, danceability and diversity. 

Cinematique is sometimes edgy, sometimes dreamy, sometimes naughty, but never boring. Releases have been supported by the likes of James Holden, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Nick Warren, Eelke Kleijn, Laurent Garnier, Orde Meikle, Dr. Motte and many more.
