So, I hear the upload of a @kater_blau -Debut often comes with a bit of a background story. So, here’s mine and be aware, it's going to be kick-you-in the-crotch-spit-you-in-the-neck soppy-sentimental: 

If someone had told me two years ago that I would play a show at my favourite nightclub in Berlin, I’d probably have declared them to be out of their mind. When the big night had finally come, I felt like embarking upon one of the scariest dares in my life. However, I miraculously managed to put all of my anxieties into a box right before the show, and instead enjoyed playing it tremendously - smiling, singing & dancing with everyone else. 

Of course, it went far from perfect. After my set, I realised that I had accidentally stopped the recording somewhere in the middle without even noticing, - probably with one of my clumsy dance moves. 😅 But I sure had a blast. In an attempt to recreate the magic, I recorded the set again, hoping, you'll still enjoy listening to it.

1000 times THANKS to some of my oldest & newest friends for the support that night. But above all, CHEERS to the best crowd I could've imagined! This was the best early birthday present EVER & I can't wait to be back! 💜

P.S.: Big thanks to @ueberhaupt_ausserdem for helping me with the mastering & for creating this well-tempered listening experience!

Auf federleichten Sohlen im Acid Bogen I 55 Stunden NonStop @KaterBlau

Welcome to my new musical project: Multifuse 🥁 This is my first recording from Kater Blau's Acidbogen, taking over a vibrant floor after Mimi Love ❤️‍🔥 Thank you, dear dancers, it was magical 🫠.

During the past year, as I explored new music, I noticed an increasing trend in my thoughts: "Is this something people would expect Varuu to play?", as opposed to solely trusting my own taste and intuition. This shift made me feel detached from the music I played since I chose more often to stick with what I felt was expected from me. "Varuu" and I grew apart to a point where I could no longer identify with this persona.

Changing my name was necessary for me to rediscover my love of electronic music. With Multifuse, I want to care less about genre boundaries and persona expectations and more about sharing my love for mixing music, in order to create musical journeys with all of you 🎶 

Thank you to everyone who supported me during this five year journey as "Varuu" ✨ I can not overstate how thankful I am for all the hugs, dancefloors, comments, memories, travels, and moments I experienced during this time.

Multifuse @ Kater Blau | Acidbogen 🥁

Sooooo... first of all I have to say, it was not only my first time playing at Sisyphos. It was also my first time ever! So when a good friend showed me around I was stunned by this beutiful island. I mean, I've heard rumors and stories, but I had no clue. 

Than, when we entered the Dampfer, I had a little breakdown. An hour before my gig it was packed from one end to the other. I was so nervous! Planning on playing my usual sound I knew that I was at least 10 BPM slower than other DJs playing here. Would it work out?

But, yeah, what can I say... I was welcomed by a hungry crowd from the first kick on and together we hit it off for 3h straight! The first nervousness vanished and time flew by in a glimpse.  And than something unforeseen happened: playing my last track I was told that the next DJ was missing and that I will have to play another hour. This last hour was not from this world! It will stay in my heart for a very long time.

So here it is, my four hour porschride through Dampfer! From 3 am till 7 in the morning. I'm so thankfull for the people who made it possible and who joint & supported me. I could've not asked for more!

i am happy to share my 4 hours recording played at the firespace thursday evening from 8-12 pm, where we had a time of high energy & connections and a space full of flowers, dancers & fire artists.
once again, big shoutout to the firespace crew giving me the space to express myself in service for the sweetest sound to flow & chill and thank you all you lovely humans & friends, who made these 4 hours for the best time i could have during this year´s "fusion festival"

LIVE @ Mit Dir 2023 | Mühlenfloor

This weekend was a blast. 
Its hard to describe the pure joy that we felt during our set on saturday evening from 7-9pm. 
But we give it a shot and try to take you with us to this moment. 

First of all, it was raining cats and dogs for most of the weekend, so we prayed for some good weather. 
When we arrived at the stage, while @reyneke was playing his live set, we were shook by his intriguing sound but also the amount of people that gathered in front of the stage, ignoring the rain from toe to head. 

When we started playing, the blessing happened and it stopped raining, followed by the sun, appearing 30mins later for the second and only time at this day. 
To watch the people turning and applauding the sun was just heartwarming and what we wished for. 

The music was a built up, from warmer tones to heavy hitting bangers and back to an outro that released the tension that we built up during the last hour of our set. 

Beside one technical issue, everything went fine, but the issue was to fun, to not share it with you. 

It happened that one player froze while I (Senior) was searching for the next song to play. 
In pure adrenaline, a short evaluation of how long the actual song  should last, I decided to just restart the player. 
After pressing the shutdown button fully in, I noticed, that the playing track was launched from the player that I was up to restart. 

With the finger on the button, fearing to let it go (it felt like stepping on a mine and then noticing, that you now cant move) @marholz calmly decided to just give it a shot and hope for the safety-loop-function that the pioneers should have activated. 

It worked and in the following 15 seconds we picked the next song and mixed it in, hoping, that no one noticed our little melt down, fearing that the music would stop midset. 

But hey it worked out ;) and overall we had the feeling that we could share a special moment with alot of people, regardless of one failure. 

After this little incident we continued and were happy to hand over the turntables to @sahrabass afterwards, knowing that she will turn up the heat for good.

Thank you @friendlyconnections for the invite and to all the people behind the @zugvoegelfestival that made it happen due to the bad weather and all difficulties that come with it. 
To all the people on the dancefloor that expressed their joy and to all the ones that came over afterwards to have a little chat with us.

Probably conceived but definitely raised in his daddy's VW T3, Horst Haller tasted from early on the sweet promise of a life aside from middle-class burdens and stuffily limitations. Several years ago he experienced the enchanting pull of the mystical nights and days at electronic music festivals. What has most shook his consciousness was this new, loving encounter of community, which is resembled by those playful nights, when strangers meet under the shivering roofs of trees and stars. By combining a slowed down genre mix he's reenacting these experiences of togetherness in the uniting strength of deep rhythms and heavy percussions.
