TAU welcomes a formidable UK talent to the label with its latest release. Sahar brings a distinct flavour, for all the TAU connoisseurs, blending melodic elements with hints of rave to cultivate a thoroughly captivating sound. This has been demonstrated through releases on influential labels such as Exit Strategy, Isolate and Sum Over Histories. Now he’s joined the TAU family for this latest five-track excursion, called Shakedown.
From the get go it’s enchanting atmospherics, exquisite percussion and high-quality sound design.

‘Checkwoin’ is a solid cut that works from a brooding groove. This is one of those tracks that sounds deceptively simple, but when you listen closely, you can hear that there’s a lot going on. Here Sahar builds around a repetitive core to engage the listener. Once you’re locked in, there’s no relent... A prime example of the power of repetition in electronic music. A delight for the dance floor.

True psychedelia! It's the moment when it's getting dark, you watch the sky, a lot going on in your mind but in a harmonic tranquil way. "The Stars Were Coming Out" - It's a journey to imagination, a journey to hidden realms and forgotten emotions. 

Based on variations of two melodic themes flowing in a dreamlike world, this track has the mood of both sleepy and forward-pushing, both wistful and euphoric. At the same time this is just as psychedelic as it can get.

James Reipas has released several albums, EPs, singles, remixes and compilation tracks.
The latest release is the EP Flowers  (Super Life Records 2024). The current musical style is quite melodic psychedelic techno. 
James Reipas is also another half of the duo Reipas Longos with Brazilian artist Hongos Longos.

James Reipas also has a DJ project called Super Reipas DJ.
