Melancholy

This one is very dear to me. I was asked by my composing friend Patrick Zelinski to make an arrangement for string quartet of his song Meu Amor. He wrote it to his wife for their wedding day.
This recording is made by a a quartet in London.

I find it very pleasing to write choral music especially when Lena arlid is available for recording. She also produced this one.
So what is this then?
It's a sonnet (nr 109) by W. Shakespeare called O never say that I was false of heart. I composed the music in the style of madrigal choral. Give it a listen and tell me what you think!

Meliora (String orchestra version)

Picture this: A fantasy movie about a hero and his dragon. They fight together against evil powers that wants do darken the world. The two of them makes a perfect weapon and kills all that comes in their range. One adventure among many they have experienced and in the end scene of the movie the hero says to the dragon,"Balaur, take me home" and off they go!🙂

Maybe some of you recognizes it? It went under a different name before and have been re-arranged since then.😉

I'm very much in love with traditional swedish folk music as you probably hear in this piece.
In the introduction you hear "Kulning" which is an old scandinavian singing tradition performed by women and was used to call for cattle or to communicate with each other from a distance.
Lena Arlid lended me her voice for that.
This piece is called Dimljus (misty light) and is the first of three pieces in a suite called Svit i folkton.

Welcome to my site. Since my childhood I've always been fascinated by music and I've also always been composing music trough the piano or the guitar as long as I can remember. 
That's mostly where it all starts, by the piano. A melody, a theme that gets into my head and I immediately start to arrange and orchestrate it. 
My music is fully notated and can be performed live. Scores and parts are available for all works.
