not a frank ocean song. not a frank ocean singing. its a me. this started as a song for a beat battle from @wasteurself in his "product potluck" series. i wrote all of this in that night and then it sat on my hard drive for probably a year. i tried re-editing and resampling this track to create new versions but nothing sat with me as good as the original. hope you love!

I have always wanted to dedicate a song to my Mom and Turquoise is finally that song. For as long as I can remember I have associated the color Turquoise with my Mom, as it was her favorite color. When I started producing the song I just kept seeing the color Turquoise in my minds eye and naturally that made me think of my Mom. What better way to bring more meaning to the music than to connect with the person who gave you life. I hope this song can help you dive a little deeper, chill out, and overall find some relief in this stressful, fast paced world we live in.

"Free" channels inspiration from my grandfather who grew up in the Faroe Islands. He told me stories about the vast openness, sheer cliffs, and moody weather and it has heavily influenced the sonic landscape of this EP. "Free" features a vocal from the super talented Alaska Reid.

This song is about the the new paths and roads that we haven’t traveled, yet are eager to explore.
