Anton Zapは活動開始の数年をモスクワのプロバガンダクラブでレジデントDJとして過ごした。ディープハウスとデトロイトテクノ、ファンク、ディスコを中心とした新鮮さを感じさせるプレイはヨーロッパではすでに定評がある。2007年に作品を発表すると世界中のレコード会社から契約の誘いが殺到し、ギグの要請が国内外で急増した。ヨーロッパはPnorama Barでデビューしてからはツアーがこの数年途切れることなく続行している。リリース、リミックスともに作品が多く、Underground Quality、Deep Explorer、Uzuli、Quintessentials等や自身のレーベルであるEthreal Soundからリリースしたアトモスフェリックでディープな作品は世界中でとても高い評価を得ている。誰もが認める多面的な実力派の彼の来日がいままで実現しなかったのが不思議に思えるくらいだ。2014年からはプライベートレーベルVolking Musicを始動して、実験的な作品を限定リリースしている。ライフフォースでは3回目の来日。Anton Zapのディープなグルーブを是非体験して欲しい。

Frank Bookerは2009年初頭に世界中に広がるアンダーグラウンド・ディスコシーンの影から突如現れた。

ロンドンのUntracked Recordingsからリリースされた最初の2枚のシングル’Brother’s EP’と’Paper Cuts/Get On’はクラシックとして知られ、彼のレコードはTodd Terje、Mark E、Tim Sweeney、Toby Tobias、Max Essa、Eddie C、Recloose、Jimpster、Ashley Beedle、The Revenge、Red Rack’Em、Ron Basejam、Session VictimやNick the Recordなど、多くの素晴らしいDJ達に支持されてきた。

日本のレーベルのWondrful Noiseからも2枚のシングルとミックスCDをリリースして、最近ではSleazy Beats Recordingsからリリースした ‘Beat Down & Out EP’は、Junoレコーズで3週間連続1位のスマッシュヒットを記録したばかりだ。また、彼は地元のオークランドで盟友のReclooseとGeorge FMで毎週月曜日の夜に‘Hit It & Quit It’ラジオショーのレギュラー番組を持っていて、それは人気番組となっている。

今迄に彼はDJでMoodymann, Francois K, Tiger &Woods, Bill Brewster, Dam Funk, Kon, DJ Day, Trus’me, Kid Sublime,やRich Medinaとも競演しており、確固足る実力の持ち主である。それは彼のSoundcloudやMixcloudのミックス音源を聞けば容易にわかるだろう。disco/house/techno/jazz/soul..etcをグルービーにミックスするディープなスタイルは、直ぐに受け入れられるはずだ。
