Bring down the Sky

It hurts. 
Fine for days at a time but still come back to this place.
Major aspects are perfect. You'd think that would be enough.
To fight the pain.
I'm not searching for change. It's an overwhelming and compulsive feeling.
I wish it settled in vain. I can't see color or light the same.
I wish that things weren't the same. You can tell me to wait.

Tell yourself "no news is good news",
But live the disappointment day to day.
Tell yourself "walk a mile in their shoes",
But the sinking feeling never goes away.

I could attempt to use metaphors
To explain what's going on inside.
A feeling dry and cold to the core.
I can't convey what I can't describe.
Waves of anger I can't push away.
Clouds of angst hover over me.
Winds of change carry my time.
The sun rises and she clears my eyes.
Now awake I'm open and I'm fine.
Anxiously await consumption of my mind.

I could never make the leap
But should it end, I'd be okay.
But for now, I'll try not to be resented.
