Lydia Kelly was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Coming from a family of eight, and being raised on a farm out in the country, Lydia found her love for music. She started singing at the age of 2 and dancing at the age of 5. After 10 years of dance (ballet and Jazz), she started to push herself into musical theater. Lydia played roles such as Eponine from Les Miserables and Jane in Tarzan. She began taking voice lessons at the age of 16, preparing herself for such roles. Entering college, Lydia auditioned across the country for prestigious musical theater programs. After auditioning for 15 different schools, she realized her passion did not lie in the musical theater aspect, but the music alone.
Lydia’s love for music started to grow when she began recording and focusing in on writing her own music. She began strengthening her voice with two lessons a week, along with spending any chance she had in the studio. She knew she could never stop. For the past four years, Lydia has been growing, developing her craft and finding her sound.
Lydia films YouTube covers and teams up with Flipagram as a verified artist. After beginning to write more of her own music, she collaborated with Aiden Jude and Heather M to write “Addicted”, which was signed to CR2 Records. Her song, “Falling” was also remixed by Heather M, which was signed by Crowd Records.
Lydia is currently based out of Ann Arbor but travels to Los Angeles, California often to work on her new music. Her latest single, “Circles” was produced by Alex Sacco & Nate Merchant (Papa Ya), who have charted worldwide with their singles, “Fine Livin’” and “Outta Here”.
