Monolyth are a 5-piece progressive death/groove metal band from Aveiro, Portugal. Formed in 2009, they established their first lineup in December 2010, and started playing live the following year. After some gigs
around their home country, they started recording for their debut record “Origin” with producer Andrés Malta around April 2012. They recorded the drums on that
same month at Audioplay Studios but the sessions would last for more than a year and a half, not only because they worked very hard on every single detail, but also due to a couple of lineup changes. The mixing and mastering was handled by André Rodrigues, at Fullpower Studios. The band released their first single “Rupture” on Youtube in August 2014 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHU_kuDfeAc), and along came a positive reception. 
The album was released at 10th October of 2014.
