"Freedom" was the intended 28th single to be released by the English recording group, Sugababes.  The song was written by Jason Pebworth, Jon Shave, George Astasio, Kyle Abrahams, Peter Ighile, Mariah Young-Jones, and Rowan Martin with production from The Invisible Men and Parker & James.

"Freedom" was slated as the girls' lead single from their eighth studio album and the first single under RCA Records UK.  However, due to poor support from the big radio stations in the UK, and the controversy surrounding Keisha Buchanan's departure in 2009, the single was later canceled and made available via Amazon UK as a free download, making it ineligible for charting within the UK Singles Charts.
