Could you get a film made for €4500 and get it into cinemas? 
Well that's exactly what Kerry man Gerrard Barrett has managed to do with his film 'Pilgrim Hill'.

Gerrard went and got himself a credit union loan to make a film about an isolated farmer played brilliantly by first time actor Joe Mullins (soon to be in Love/Hate season 4).

After wowing audiences and critics at almost every major film festival across the globe Gerrard has now been supported by Element Pictures to get it distributed into Irish cinemas from April 12th 2013.

I caught up with the young director for a chat about the impending cinema release of Pilgrim Hill. Have a listen.
