Happy to share a new studio mix today. For this instalment, I pulled back by slowing some tracks down and deliberately sustaining the transitions, resulting in a steady, contemplative feel. Antoinette Van Dewark - Pink Mammoth - Burning Man 2022

Finally got my recording back from LIB and I'm immediately transported back to the rollercoaster of emotions I experienced that weekend. 

Between the heat, dust and being around tens of thousands of people after going through a pandemic, it's safe to say I was a little rusty at festivaling. On top of it, my legs felt like floppy noodles from how anxious I was to play the prime set time Friday night at the Junkyard. This is something I experience often before gigs, the sweats, self deprecating internal thoughts, imposter syndrome. I questioned if I belonged here or if I earned it. Then I mixed in and immediately felt at home. I thought to myself "Bitch you know what you're doing" and went on to play one of those "highlights of my career" sets for me personally. 

The rest of the night and weekend was a breeze, and the magic of LIB was amplified. I was able to see the thousands of smiling faces in front of me, the above and beyond details The Do Lab had added and updated, and realized this was so many people's first festival back and they could not be happier about it. I could not be happier about it. 

I hope that you enjoy it and that you're happy too.

It has been quite some time since the last time we gathered for a night of MBTS. I wanted to take some time after the pandemic to be quiet and see how the dance music scene would evolve, and what sounds would come out of the standstill that was Covid. Now that I have a good sense of where I want to be sonically, and what kind of energy I want to spread onto dance floors, I am ready to restart MBTS in 2023. David Alec - Pink Mammoth - Burning Man 2022

Celebrating 19 years of Pink Mammoth on Saturday was completely surreal and to think this year will be our 20th as a camp at Burning Man is mind blowing 🤯 — what a beautiful journey. The night was made extra special by having some of the original PM family, that is spread across the country, physically there with us in San Francisco. 

And to add the cherry on top 🍒, Tara Brooks being back on the decks with us was a treat in and of itself. Truly a magnificent family reunion in every sense and I am excited to continue the festivities in New York with Tim Green and Alice Iguchi on Mar 18. Until then... I give you this mix and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing it.
