Emmanuel Hakizimana is an economist. After having studied and taught at the National University of Rwanda until 1993, he continued his studies in Canada and earned a master at the University of Montreal and a doctorate from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He currently teaches at the University of Quebec in Montreal and his fields of research are international finance, business cycle fluctuations and economic development.
