A four year old speaks of injustice - whose point of view do you share?

I need to clarify that in the poem the reference to Mama's gun barrel was a verbal one. It wasn't until my parents passing that we found out about circumstances in their lives that contributed to their pain and tension. Most people carry baggage. There are those of us who are blessed enough to find ways to no longer carry it.

Memory 101

Not exactly perfect, but time for a breather and some reflection on what the hell I am doing writing and mixing a Progressive House Rap!

the literary world, 
amusin' ourselves, 
not abusin' them all.
We're truly, over duly 
bringin' works to the table,
the best we are able;
not usin', but schmoozin'
the peop's we are choosin',
who will weep in their sleep
'caus they'll never be loosin'
the deeply felt meanin' ...

... of each single word.

'Caus we're cleanin' the verse
so as to be terse and
yet none for the worse
for the carriage of words;
and our lyrical lines
will be close to sublime
and try to enhance
the phrases that dance
to the rhythm and rhyme
and the synergy...

...subliminally, 

will be eatin' away 
at susceptible minds,
specially constructed
in verse of all kinds
and that subconscious twitch -
you know the one -
that'll make you go switch
on your smart-arse phone
to in-ject your soul
with some old Rock ‘n Roll
and more art than you'll hone
from anywhere else...

...except for the book, 

which, perfectly bound,
will fill you with sounds
of pro-sod-ic class,
as you lift it from shelf
and imbue yourself
with the sweet scented passage
'twixt nose and the brain; 
it will keep you sane
until you go mad for more.

Wait not for the mood
or you’ll wait forever
for this is your food;
Apollo’s endeavour.

Each leaf that you turn
will be ever surprising
as you feel your eyes burn
with the... 
		...Petrichor Rising..."
