This set was recorded live at Miguel Rechy's radio show "Mixtape" at Planeta 94.7 FM in Guadalajara, Mexico on August 8th, 2014. 

Unfortunately there's a little harmonic distortion in the recording, therefore downloads will be disabled.

Hey everyone, this week I have something very special for you.  It’s a Deep Dish set from Pacha Ibiza last year, where Dubfire and I played for the 20th anniversary of Deep Dish at Pacha.  The night was hosted by Hot Since 82’s Labyrinth residency and we had an amazing time.  If you don’t know, we are reuniting this month for both weekends of Coachella and a special open to close set at Sound in Los Angeles.  I hope to see you there. Sandra Collins' in-demand DJing has kept her constantly globetrotting - everywhere from New Zealand to Romania to Mexico. What began as a humble interest morphed into serious business in the 90's, when Sandra Collins emerged as one of the Los Angeles rave scene's major players. Sandra is now, without question, one of the most recognized and beloved DJs in the business.
 
With her incessant worldwide touring, massive press coverage and hundreds of thousands of albums sold, Sandra has solidified her place as one of the most well-known female DJs in the world. The DanceStar Awards awarded her the 2003 Best DJ award over the likes of Louie Devito, Deep Dish and Bad Boy Bill among others. This award is part of a long list of stellar career achievements, which include URB Magazine's 1999 "Best Female Artist", an honor she shared with Lauryn Hill. She is also one of the few female DJs that graced DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs. She also hosted the International Dance Music Awards in 2006 with Daniel Glass.
 
Whenever Sandra's on the decks, you know you’re in for an unforgettable evening. She held a massively popular residency at legendary NYC club Twilo alongside Sasha & Digweed and Paul Van Dyk. Her memorable sets, such as the six hour set following Moby in front of 80.000 fans at the '99 Woodstock Festival, as well as Coachella in 2002 and 2008, are evidence of her ability to convert those new to the scene into true electronic music fans. In 2005, Sandra created an audio-visual collaboration with VJ Vello Virkhaus called "Sv2 Presents: Interference". This groundbreaking technical show integrated Sandra’s mixing with over a hundred videos created by her and Virkhaus. The cutting-edge show toured for 3 years, garnering much praise, a DJ Times cover and sponsorships from companies like Pioneer and Edirol.
 
Sandra's popularity and reputation for bringing out the deeply emotional side of progressive house and trance has earned her a worldwide following. A tireless experimenter who is always in search of new sounds and platforms for her music, Sandra is in a class of her own, whether she’s performing at a music festival, a 10.000 person super club, or an intimate gallery space. She has become a true ambassador for American electronic music.

Sandra Collins exploded out of the California rave scene in the 90’s.  Born in Arizona but with roots in  Las Vegas, her appetite for dance music & it’s culture, drew her to the heartbeat of Los Angeles. She started DJ’ing in the early 90’s, which led to an A&R job at the LA office of EyeQ/Harthouse, the German record company co-founded by the dance music pioneer, Sven Vath.  Her production career began in 1998 with releases on LA’s Fragrant Music and the UK’s Hook Recordings. The early 2000’s saw several releases via compilations, singles , EP’s and remixes on labels such as Kinetic, Perfecto and Interscope for artists including Nine Inch Nails and Fleet Foxes.  Between her releases and relentless touring schedule, Sandra received numerous awards, including URB Magazine Best female Artist in 1999 and UK’s Dancestar Best DJ in 2003.
 
Sandra held residencies at the legendary Twilo in NYC and also at Chicago’s Crobar.  She had the honor of being one of Coachella’s inaugural DJs, playing the influential festival three times, and performed at Woodstock ‘99,  Ultra Music Festival, Global Gathering, Electric Daisy Carnival (now known as EDC), Creamfields and Burning Man, to name a few.
 
Over the years, her musical style has expanded. Her sets now include deep, progressive, melodic and tech house, following along the lines of her current productions.  Sandra pushes herself out of her comfort zone and enters a more confident and creative stage in her career, including performing vocals on her recent releases. She has been a guest DJ on several radio shows and has been feverishly working in the studio, creating an arsenal of productions with DC based production partner Micke. Sandra has a radio show of her own in the works and is inspired to score for the silver screen, while still making dance music and bringing it personally to her fans on the dancefloor on her upcoming Back2Black tour starting in December 2018. This will coincide with her next release “Four” on Perfecto Black, due out end of November.
