Digital Vomit loves noise, it’s true. But we’ve never just been a noise & breakcore label. More than a sound, DV is about an attitude of reckless experimentalism, punk-DIY-electro, hectic creativity, chaotic fun. Add those values to the sound of squealing synths, glitched-up rhythms, and some huge funkified analogue basses, and you’ve got skweee. So needless to say, Dee Vee loves Skweee too!

With artists from all corners of the globe, and mixing up the skweee establishment with skweee newbies and DV interlopers, Dee Vee Skweee is a little slice of the state of skweee in 2011. Download and enjoy!



Attack of the Green Tomatoes - Out on Dee Vee Skweee (Digital Vomit)

This one is a remake of a song called Graffic Patrol from a brief side-project of mine in Japan called Graffic Beat with Olive Oil of the Oil Works crew(Romz Records) in 2004.  When I stumbled upon the fresh sounds of skweee I took to it right away because I had already delved into my own kind of synthetic lo-fi quirky funk in songs such as this one.  To me this song could've been proto-skweee without knowing it so I decided to remake it fresh, fonky and more definitely skweee with 'nuff synths and hardware like my favourite old analog synth, the beastly 80lb PolyMoog circa 1976.
