Confusion is a Heidelberg-based producer and resident DJ of the Raserei collective. Expect punchy rhythms, minimalist synths, and trippy pads that maintaining a consistent energy. Drawing inspiration from his roots as a drummer Confusion also finds creative influence in his appreciation for ambient soundscapes, IDM, and other experimental electronic genres.

In recent years, his focus has expanded to crafting stripped-down yet minimalistic techno tools. Alongside many self-releases, remixes, and VA appearances on labels like Schimmer Records, Duplicity, and SOPTIK, he has earned recognition with releases on platforms such as the Berlin-based SYXT, PRX Records, and Adapter. 

Confusion's music has garnered support from established artists including DVS1, Luke Slater, Setaoc Mass, Rene Wise, Marrøn, Border One, Kaiser, and Lea Occhi.

For my return to Open Ground, I had the idea to record my full set and post it online. Nothing can really describe that club, the sound system, the room accoustics, the way everything has been designed just breathes passion and dedication. Just amazing crew and always a treat to come back there.
The vibe there was absolutely amazing, and I guess you really just have to experience it on the spot to really get what it's like. 

But yea, here's the 3h30 journey we've embarked on there this 8th May, and I hope you enjoy it !

DifferentSound invites Uun (Detroit)

The DifferentSound Podcast #295 welcomes Uun! 
Having been producing and performing since 2010, Uun has been a staple of the techno scene for many years. His mind melting live performance have been featured at many institutions, including Movement Festival in Detroit, Tresor in Berlin, Khidi in Tbilisi, and Basement in NYC. Resident Advisor referred to this ability to work within many different imprints and styles as “quietly infiltrating techno”, and compared his music to the latter days of the Sandwell District. He is perhaps best known as a producer, having released substantial work on some of the most respected underground techno labels, including Mord, Semantica, and Soma. The genre defining record store Hard Wax described Uun's sound as a "straight ahead techno juggernaut." He also has his own label titled Ego Death, where he releases his most genre defying material.
