This is the first audio demo for my new synthesiser Omega (currently WIP). Omega started life as a clone of the Roland Alpha Juno II and accurately recreates its digital oscillators, but differs in many ways and has many unique sounds of it's own.

For example, Omega's sawtooth oscillator can produce a total of 64 different timbres, all with pulse width modulation. The Juno's sawtooth oscillator can produce only four, and only one of those has PWM.

Other than that I don't want to talk too much about the technical aspects since it's still in development, but I hope y'all enjoy this demo anyway. Oh and yes, it makes epic hoovers :)

Omega Demo 1 - 90's style

This was written about 3 years ago for a video game that, as far as I know, never came to fruition. This was intended to be the "fire temple / volcanic region" theme, but the project file became corrupt and all I have left is an exported .wav file.

This version is two 1:38 loops and a short fadeout.

An experiment in found sound, made entirely from Windows sounds and one 909 bass drum. I know the "Windows remix" thing has been done to death but this is a different style to the norm I think.

This actually started out very different but changed direction when I started messing about with the Windows 7 recycle bin sound. There aren't a lot of percussive sounds amongst those that ship with any Windows version, so I had the idea of slicing up 'recycle.wav' to create a percussion element. After I had that set up I wrote most of the track pretty quickly. Hope you like it.
