After I Was Thrown In the River is the first single taken from the new album by The Hundredth Anniversary, on Faking Jazz Together Records.

The song takes it's title from a short story by Dave Eggers, from a collection called 'How We Are Hungry'. It's about a dog who loves to run really really fast.

Brighton three-piece The Hundredth Anniversary were formed in January 2012. Their atmospheric and precisely structured songs marry bright guitar lines, rigorous percussion and clear, honest vocals.

The Hundredth Anniversary have spent the last year writing and recording their debut album, Sea State Pictures.
