Escuchar a Low Blows conlleva un viaje a una época lejana donde el descubrimiento de las emociones necesitaba un tiempo de maduración. Un proceso que había que asimilar con los pocos recursos a nuestro alcance en cuestión de acceso.

Y realmente, las emociones hay que digerirlas de forma pausada para que tengan su efecto. Algo parecido ocurre con este nuevo single de Low Blows, un trío peculiar porque sus componentes viven entre Ibiza, Getxo y Mataró aunque afincados en Barcelona, y al que hay escuchar con la calma y atención necesaria como cuando comprábamos los primeros discos, porque así podremos encontrar el detalle.

«Normal» sugiere atmósferas dark que apuntan a la melodía entre guitarras y bajos penetrantes que se ajustan a la voz profunda y determinante de Carlos Vergara, líder del proyecto.

“Normal”, es su nuevo video single, grabado y mezclado por Lluis Cots en Estudi Nautilus y masterizado por Víctor García; el videoclip es también obra de Carlos Vergara y planta una desgarrada secuencia de imágenes corporales que quitan el sueño. La temática de la canción pone en valor la autenticidad y te incita a demarcarte de la cultura de las masas, las apariencias y el influjo de las modas.

THE SWEET KILL is a one-man, post-punk, dark & gothic diviner of millenarian angst. Driven by cold synths, atmospheric guitar, minimal drums, melodic bass, multi-instrumentalist, and velvety crooning baritone, Pete Mills conducts a cinematic darkwave masterpiece of romantic sorrow echoing the laments of The Cure and Joy Division. 

With an extensive background in music creation, Mills blends the elements of his past seamlessly with the present and even the future, creating a tapestry of gothic intrigue. Initially, Mills was a guitarist and didn’t grasp the meaning of being a lead singer until he “translated using my voice as a creepy instrument,” Mills said. In 2021, Mills brought The Sweet Kill to life. To inspire those lost in the shadows of life The Sweet Kill cemented itself as one of the acts to watch with unveiling of the 2022 album Darkness. The Sweet Kill is the phoenix rising from the ashes of projects past and entering a new era of artistry.


Shadow Zone Sound is his own studio where Mills records and produces all THE SWEET KILL material. “Undead” and “Forbidden” are the current singles from the highly anticipated sophomore album Nowhere which comes out on Young & Cold Records (Germany) and Shadow Zone Records (USA). Mills exclaims, “Nowhere questions the final analysis of the soul’s journey between life and death, are we eternally floating in the ether or are we never lost and always found?”
