Leading up to his debut Tresor release Backward Improvement, @ufo95ufo95 has prepared a mix of ultra forward motion and cavernous four to the floor thumps. Starting with tense dissonant chords and sparse hits reverberating in a sci-fi atmosphere, the mix launches us into an hour of hefty techno shuffles, and rebounding rhythms and rumbles. Alongside the unreleased cuts are select tracks from the Sandwell District crew, like ‘Hunting Lodge’ with icy grains flowing between synth stabs while heaving kicks pulsate and implode. “I made this mix on Ableton and added some 909 jams. The major part of the mix contains my unreleased tracks mixed with techno classics from Sandwell District, Silent Servant, Shifted & more. I went through deep, hypnotic, dub and club oriented techno during these 60 minutes.”

Coming off the back of performing on and producing tracks for James Blake’s new album Playing Robots Into Heaven, @Airhead is back with his first proper release since 2018 returning to Untold's Hemlock imprint. A more than welcome return, Lightness is Rob McAndrew's atmospheric and crisp take on drum & bass, celebrated by a selection for Bleep, “a mix of some beautiful music at 170bpm”. It features an array of adjacent productions and inspirations kicking off with masters of the form, Sam KDC and ASC setting the tone perfectly for the following hour of oneiric breaks.

Fresh from releasing his debut album Endless Path of Memory, sound artist and experimental musician Nexcyia sends a mix for Bleep that is equally mystical and varied. Spiralling piano keys flurry into rich, lush folk and classical arrangement, then the serenity breaks for whirring, portal jumping electronics. Shoegazing walls of strums, blurred vocals, and soft acoustic lullabies rub against abstract percussive clusters and eruptions of stream, with ethereal sonics bursting into murky club rhythms. 

"I recorded this mix at home on Ableton, it's the stuff I listen to on a daily basis. There are a lot of collaborations here that I admire. Some new music here by Kevin, a duo comprised of Ben Bondy and Mister Water Wet and unreleased music by NUG, a music project by Florian T M Zeisig and PVAS. Celebrating the recent release of his debut album Your Day Will Come on Jagjaguwar, our Bleep Mix this week is from Chanel Beads, the project of New York-based musician Shane Lavers currently on tour supporting Mount Kimbie in their early summer run of US dates.

A welcome accompaniment to the warmer climes breathing through at the moment, @chanel-beads' selections draw from the same R&B laced lo-fi indie ambience Lavers has carved out for himself with a host of seemingly disparate yet ultimately cohesive selection taking in Van Morrison, ML Buch, his own edit of Caroline Polachek, Blawan, Tirzah and John T. Gast. Recommend listening whilst in the shade from the midday sun with Negroni in hand.

Ayumu (leader of 4 bonjour's parties) and Miwa (singer of lost in found)'s Tokyo/Saitama(suburb of Tokyo)-based so called "changeable-indie-psychedelic-minimal-toy-chamber-electronica-folk-pop"duo started in 2007. In 2010, they moved to Melbourne, Australia and started to build up connections to local artists and music scene.
