The Godfathers of the Philly Sound Gamble & Huff laid the foundation of 70s soul with their lush string orchestrations, powerful rhythms section, and disco beats. Their songs from Philadelphia International Records were some of the first records I purchased as a kid, they laid the foundation for my love of music😘
