Back to the roots – back to the origins. That’s 2023, but from the beginning:

In 2003, Tim Köhler-Ramm (e-drums, voice) and Sebastian Robitzsch (programming, mixing, mastering, guitar) founded the electro band Waiting in Vain – WIV.

Holding four albums, two EPs and two singles, WIV can look back on many years of continuous development and are now – on the band’s 20th anniversary – back in their original band formation. The demand for quality in their own music has always been their compass.

Driven by a longing for unity and disappointment with global events, WIV reflects the eternal Zeitgeist of the black scene. As children of synth-pop, EBM and industrial of the late 90s and early 2000s, WIV today produces modern, melodically exciting, but above all one thing – honest songs. True to the motto: from the scene, for the scene.
