It's been a struggle getting back into recording music in the past year. Experiencing many personal struggles, continuous anxiety and being depressed to the point of full social isolation. 
The war hit me just as I was slowly trying to get back on track with the music and it shattered my mind from within. 

I've been slowly working on this piece all throughout last  months and decided to finally post it here, just as a reminder that I am in fact still sane, maybe as a reminder for myself

This piece was created during UDK Berlin Summer University 2024 course
"Exploring atopies (placeless): de-generated spaces in Berlin". Soundscapes were created recycling old loops, presets and field recordings made during the initial workshop.

"Atopy (absence of place), from the Greek—“placeless”, out of place, special, unusual, extraordinary;"

Intangible memory surrounding every forgotten or abandoned place has unique value and perspective on the past itself. The history is to be deciphered and studied, rather than read from the state-issued book or observed from glorified monuments. Objects and locations of old industries and infrastructure tell their own stories about everyday life of ordinary people.

While exploring different abandoned spaces I was recording sounds and taking small pictures on my phone, trying to capture moods and atmospheres of places we visited. For every such location I thoroughly searched online for historical information, forum records, old blueprints and photos.
