This is a piece I put together for Tod Machover's birthday last weekend. All done in Ableton (excepting my outboard TX-81Z synth in homage to Tod's FM roots), it is made entirely with samples pulled from Tod's various compositions, glued together with keyboard parts I laid down - the entire process took about 3 days. A droney piece I made on my custom synth back in 1994.  An autonomous loop.  I was inspired at the time by Fripp & Eno, but now hear much more of LaMonte Young & Marian Zazella's Black Record (Side 1) in it.  The heart of the patch was a set of 'random' triggers derived from a modified PAIA synthetic wind-chimes circuit.  The 'trilling' sound was from my PseudoRandom Generator.
