Quiet as a Mouse are an Edinburgh four piece alternative indie band: Alex Moran (Vocals/Guitar), Ali Walker (Guitar), Mark Grossi (Bass) and Graham Longbottom (Drums). ‘Cristina, Its Christmas Time’ is a single taken from their debut “British Flag” EP, produced by Liam Watson (The White Stripes – Elephant) and recorded at Toe Rag Studios (Metronomy, Tame Impala & The Wytches). This is QAAM’s Christmas gift to you, to say thank-you for your support, an alternative Christmas song available as a free download throughout the month of December.
The group’s live reputation has quickly grown as QAAM have supported The Orwells, Palma Violets, The Crookes and Coasts. Their first batch of London shows were with Club Fandango as well as recently headlining Birthdays and The Old Blue Last. These outstanding performances have earned them “Gig of the Day” from Ruth Kilpatrick at Amazing Radio.
The four track “British Flag” EP (out now via iTunes), has been championed at radio by 6 music’s Tom Robinson, BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway and Amazing Radio/ XFM Scotland’s Jim Gellaty.  With national press backing from both The Sun and The Daily Record calling Alex “a genius and a prophet” and the ‘British Flag’ EP “Like The Smiths, Orange Juice and Brian Jonestown Massacre; its knowing, fragile and indie-tastic.” It seems Quiet as a Mouse should be both seen and heard ...very very loudly .........

Catherine AD (www.catherinead.com ) is a London-based string soaked piano pop singer/songwriter. After a series of limited edition DIY releases which received numerous critical plaudits, this double A side single release, Waiting To Breathe & Telephone (Lady Gaga cover) is taken from her forthcoming mini album Communion (10th October 2011).

Produced by Liam Howe (Marina & the Diamonds, Emiliana Torrini, Sneaker Pimps) this new set of recordings captures Catherine AD and her all-female string section. Recorded live in a single day at the legendary Church Studios in London’s Crouch End, Communion is a collection of songs stripped of drums and modern technology, taking its name from the idea of “sharing something between a group of musicians” and the numerous churches that Catherine and her string players had been performing in in the run-up to the recording. Mastered by Jon Astley (Tori Amos, Emmylou Harris) and engineered by Richard Wilkinson (Magic Numbers), these are songs that are haunted by a heavy heart, not to mention that voice, which has been described by Metro as "like a lake of black honey" (METRO) and as "gorgeous. sick. beautiful" by Courtney Love.

After three DIY EPs which she’s been drip-dropping into the world whilst finishing university, her creative force has already found favour at The Sunday Times, airplay with Lauren Laverne (6 music), Tom Robinson, Bethan Elfyn, Rob Da Bank (Radio 1) and Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 2), as well as some of America's most influential bloggers. As a self-taught pianist, guitarist and flautist, Catherine will "try-and-play-anything-once" and also dabbles with mandolin, banjo, lap steel and accordion.

Catherine AD has supported the likes of Martha Wainwright, David Gilmour, and Anna Calvi and will be playing a special show with Patrick Wolf at The Ivy on 6th October and is also performing at Rob Da Bank's Bestival (10th September) & Leylines festival (15th October)

Brighton’s Dubstep dandy and local bounder, High Rankin (producer/ DJ) is one of the scenes most eccentric artists.
