Es un joven DJ malagueño que actualmente vive en Barcelona. 
Su interés por el Drum and Bass comenzó cuando era un adolescente, descubriendo el subgénero Liquid Drum and Bass a través de diferentes artistas como LSB, Hybrid Minds, Calibre o Satl. Múltiples fiestas de DnB en Andalucía aumentaron su pasión por el género y lo expusieron a otros subgéneros como Deep y Jungle.

En 2019, decidió comenzar a lanzar sus primeras mezclas Deep-Liquid DnB, caracterizadas por transiciones limpias, rupturas melódicas y ambientales y gotas contundentes. Nada más sacar sus primeros mixes, tuvo la oportunidad de demostrar su talento en diferentes fiestas DnB, compartiendo decks con algunos de los mejores DnB Djs de Barcelona.

Actualmente influenciado por artistas como Alix Perez, Amoss, Submarine, Halogenix, Grey Code o Paige Julia, intenta encontrar su estilo más personal, que puede ir desde un jungle atmosférico hasta un DnB minimal y frenético. Por otro lado, su interminable selección de pistas y su habilidad para mezclar diferentes subgéneros DnB hacen que sus sesiones sean únicas.🔥🔥

Carlos aka Karlova💿:

He is a young upcoming DJ from Málaga, currently living in Barcelona. His interest in Drum and Bass started back when he was a teenager, discovering the sub-genre Liquid Drum and Bass through different artists like LSB, Hybrid Minds, Calibre, or Satl. Multiple DnB parties in Andalusia increased his passion for the genre and exposed him to other sub-genres like Deep and Jungle.

In 2019, he decided to start releasing his first Deep-Liquid DnB mixes, characterized by clean transitions, melodic and ambient breaks, and hard-hitting drops. As soon as he released his first mixes, he had the opportunity to show his talent in different DnB parties, sharing decks with some of the best DnB Djs from Barcelona.

Currently influenced by artists like Alix Perez, Amoss, Submarine, Halogenix, Grey Code or Paige Julia, he tries to find his most personal style, that can go from an atmospheric jungle to a minimal and frenetic DnB. On the other hand, his endless track selection, and his ability to mix different DnB sub-genres make his sessions unique.🔥🔥

Building on the strong foundations of his debut LP, ‘The Music is my Life’, Dunk once again presents an album that incorporates his personality and life journey into the music, setting out to create a representation of himself and his experiences.

Deep, dirty and infectious, these tracks are that 100% Dunk sound – condensed and refined, as he pushes the boundaries of minimal funk.

Now comes his first ever official full-length mix. Entirely comprised of his own productions, remixes and edits - some made specifically for this mix and so fresh they're not even titled! - Skorpion shows what he's truly capable of across the full tempo and genre spectrum. 


From face-melting neuro to grizzly, curmudgeonly breaks to smoking, emotion-heavy 808 funk, it's an impressive and beguiling trip that showcases Skorpion's skills and what he has in store in 2023. So fresh he's yet to play his first live club performance, we caught up with Skorpion (real name Jake Swartzel) to discuss the mix, his dual life as a Yale graduate chemist, how he's overcome severe hearing impairment to pursue his dream and the pretty brutal way he got his artist alias. Let's just say it's a stinger.
