This is it. The final battle. This is what 60+ hours of levelling has been building to. This is what that NPC - what was his name, the one who died in the training mission - this is what they were preparing you for. I hope you're ready. If you were ever going to use any of those items you've been hording, now might be the time. 
Alternatively, there is a spot in the arena where you can spam that one attack and cheese it, if you want.

Boss Battle Babeeeee

This place is locked down tight. Lucky for us we can keep cutting between different shots fast enough that the heist sequence will seem like it makes sense at least until the end of the movie.

Infinite Space in a Box Room

Developed for The ARMARDISP puzzle-platformer. The mountaintop levels have a cleaner, clearer vibe than those in the valley below - white-blue light and clear mountain air.

The early levels are a chance to learn the mechanics. The dappled sunlight is warm and the rolling green hills seem to go on forever. Guitar, mandolin, bass and djembe. All accoustic, all mellow vibes.

Hills and Valleys - The ARMARDISP

The overworld has an easygoing but energetic vibe - drive around and check out the scenery, find new levels and enjoy the music. Guitar, bass, drums and kazoo are the main instruments here, giving the whole thing a fairly silly, lighthearted vibe.

Overworld Track - The ARMARDISP

A backing track for the launch of Zip, a comic by Mike Scrase about superheroes, and an allegory for disability. 
The brief was for the echoes of a superhero comic, but with a grungy, dark aesthetic that takes you away from the clean, clear triumphalism of a classic Marvel or DC story. It also has drum & bass elements that reflect the Bristol setting, and grubby, distorted synth sounds that feel like they could be emitted from the mad science equipment in the illustrations. Acoustic and electric guitars link the listener into the very human main character, her personality, and her struggles, and the indie nature of the comic's creation. 
The synopsis required rapid shifts between moments of high energy, great pathos, and sinister mystery...

I Refuse To Die On Some Distant Moon

There's little hope, and less black powder. But pull your cloak tighter, and wait not for the morning. The Alchemist's Guild will devour everything in their way if they can. Our task, then, is simple - engineer proceedings such that they cannot.

Black Powder and Rust

The slap of hurried footsteps on cobblestones. Thick smoke, the smell of lamp oil and frying meat.
Somewhere in here there is a secret. Somewhere in here there is a lie. And somewhere, there is something close to truth. 
You made this mistake before. It cost you nothing then. But perhaps that's why you didn't learn. This time, that mistake may cost a great deal more than you can afford.
Try to learn this time. 
Don't just watch; see. 
Don't just listen; hear. 
This isn't over. If you cannot fix what is broken, it may never be.

A simple folk song that has echoes of the Old West with something a bit more modern in the arrangement.

A blend of live instrumentation and 8-bit synth sounds to take you to a world where pixels blend with reality, where adventure awaits and the hills dance to the groove.

Finally you see the truth. As your mind falls away, you realise: there was only ever honk. Everything was always honk, you just didn't know it then. Consciousness was a fleeting illusion, a shadow-play on the surface of the truth. And that truth is honk.
Tears stream from your eyes as physical reality mercifully dissolves into a soup of undulating joy.
