United Rust is a collaboration between Italian electronic musicians Nicola Zolin (vise.) and Alexander Comana (Miedo Total). The project emerged after the pair met while carrying out a master in Sonic Arts at Goldsmiths University, London. They found common ground in black metal theory, ecology and sound design, and sought to create work which incorporates these elements. 

The result of this collaboration is Stillmother, initially conceived as a multimedia project involving performance, live sound, and dance. Reconfigured due to the global pandemic, the 8-track EP is an assemblage of pieces that mine elements from black metal and club culture, both of which are simultaneously embedded in notions of collectiveness and separation. The opposing forces of these elements interact, developing into viscous distortion and low-frequency kick blasts,  side-chaining gabber percussions with raw and obscure guitar riffs, driving cruel metallic clashes with acidic and digital textures.

Stillmother is inspired in part by the concept of dépense, coined by Georges Bataille, a term that describes the surplus of offerings made by ancient populations to their deities; an excess that is left to rot or burn. Stillmother combines this idea with the theory of Flat Ontology by Manuel DeLanda, as well as the notion of Deep Ecology. By charging each element in the piece with excessive processing, their musical context is flattened and remodelled; the individual components become more relevant than their totality: the final result is metal from a flattened perspective. Music under pressure from the excessive force of its individual parts.

Stillmother is a study of excess: the ferocious, machinegun-like blast beat of drums that surges to the forefront, pushing everything else into the background, the overwhelming wall of distorted noise that smothers every object, even itself, like black smoke billowing from an industrial chimney, in the full range of the frequency spectrum; a blind space surrounded by an inhuman blackness.

'Inalienable Lights of White Tomorrows' is the debut EP of Amen Records founder 'Hunt' (@hunttt), who began to explore how to express himself through soundscapes during the corona pandemic - a time of seclusion and isolation.

The record paints the story of a new beginning: a transition from feelings of uncertainty to one of a brighter future, while holding onto hope during the process. Each track can be seen as a snapshot of various stops on the road of emotional transformation Through the beginning and end of the recent lockdowns: while ever evolving noise and drone fills the background of melancholic guitar riffs in the first half of the EP, it steadily, but nonlinearly, transitions into bright, high-pitched lead synths, soothing melodies, and upbeat drum patterns.

'Inalienable Lights of White Tomorrows' is a blend of many musical styles and genres such as shoegaze, alternative rock, ambient/drone and electronica, and represents Amen Record's philosophy of collapsing the boundaries between those categories.

Asfast is the solo project of Leon Leder, vienna-based producer and composer, who is responsible for some of the most thrilling and mindblowing live-sets in his area. Asfast started as a moniker for Leon’s breakcore projects several years ago. Since the early days of Asfast, Leon has evolved his sound more and more into a direction, that embraces ambiance and calmer drum patterns. The efforts he made into changing his approach to music to a more contemporary, but also individual style can be heard in his early self-releases ‚moving. A Variation‘ and ‚WYSIWYG‘. After years of polishing his signature sounds and getting more comfortable in his new musically scenery, Leon Leder released his first Album called ‚Peace In Drifts‘ via Ventil-Records, which reflects the core of into what Asfast has emerged in recent years.  
 
In his latest release ‚Altar‘, coming out via AMEN on March 30th 2018, Leon extends his exploration of refreshing audio-landscapes, drawn by sharp-edged synths and wistful melodies. Seeing his own body as an Altar, Asfast carefully crafted the fundament of his new EP, and carved his inner conflicts into the identity of his sound. Inspired by his fascination for the black metal scene in his youth, Asfast surely introduced us to his melancholic emotions in ‚Peace In Drifts‘ already, but the seemingly upflifting momentums of his album seem to get sucked into an inner conflict on Altar, creating a much more aggressive atmosphere, that can be felt in tracks like ‚Mnemosyne’s Lobotomy‘. Contrary to those impulsive moments, the calm before and after the storm is manifested in ‚Gapping‘ and ‚Higher Call‘, the opening and closing tracks ‚Geotrauma‘ and ‚Belly Piece‘ gorge the listener and throw them into the spiritual realm Asfast’s ‚Altar‘ is creating; the reflection of his emotionally violent conflicts, which forge his paradise and hell at the same time.

Mira is a tokyo-based perfomance unit consisting of dancer Honami Hugachi and french-born sound engineer and producer Raphael Leray. 

Originally presented by MIRA as a one-hour perfomance show for the Yokohama TPAM fringe festival, Torque (the movie) is a 20 minutes body-perfomance and experimental music short-film built around the cartharsis of traumatic experiences. Based on Honami's personal story the thematic of Torque evolves around her inner self-survival through sexual abuse and her subdequent fall in the sex industry.

After releasing her first tape “Fugue: Some Temporal Patterns Other Than the Forward March” on Genot Centre in 2017, artist and musician Johanna Odersky returns with another full-length album. The Städelschule sudent, who works primarily with sculptures,  continues to explore the silhouettes separating internal and external worlds and the mechanisms of inclusion, exclusion and domestication they reveal, on her self-titled album ‘Iku’. Her audio work can be described as a mishmash of associative samples, which Iku carefully weaves into a complex entanglement of emotionally charged sounds. While her first album relies heavily on blissfully arranged ambient pieces, the artist began to involve her own voice as a center piece in the “Body Horror” EP, which was released by berlin-based Creamcake last year.
The self-titled album feels like a sophisticated continuation of tracks like “À Tes Yeux” and her early work on Fugue, combining french pop vibes with classical instruments and gloomy spoken-word snippets, forming sonic material, which arises from sketches of Iku’s inner. Odersky takes us on a travel through a hypnagogic realm, which is full of contrasts and uncertain atmospheres.

Iku’s self-titled album ‘Iku’ will be released on May 17th, 2019 and will be premiered at Hyperreality 2019.

Alles Für Die Katz is the first full-length release by czech-austrian artist Důn and was written and composed during a lonely, depression-ridden period in 2018. Heavily inspired by the "Welthass" found in northern european black metal bands like Lifelover, Alles Für Die Katz features a surprising element of german Hip-Hop influences, unifying the universal struggle emerging from anxiety and fear .A clockwork of programmed blast-beats and sea of gloomy synthwork make up the canvas for distorted screaming verses, reflecting Důn's state of frustration at that time.
