I. Ad Matutinum: In Nocte Clara
Wake thee, soul, 'fore cock hath crowed,
Tierce not struck, nor dawn yet bold—
Sol nascens, Filius, unum.

II. Lavatio et Silencium
Bare foot on cold stone,
Silent halls where incense clings—
Font at cloister door.

Hands in stream do pass,
Pair of pears for breaking fast—
Serviam in still.

III. Ad Hortum Scriptoriae
Garden breathes in psalm,
Grin of mint, basilicum—
Latin bee hums hymn.

Gravel 'neath the heel,
Steps that tend to root and text—
“Ora et labora.”

IV. Ad Scripturam
Bright quill dipped in light,
Saint and syllable aligned—
Lumen, Verbum, Pax.

Kite-like thought takes flight,
In margins angels do dance—
Scriptor hums low tones.

V. Ad Pacem Internam
To still sound give ear,
Cell not cage but chalice wide—
