I play a single Theremin track on top of Shanti's hypnotic synth layer

For this recording, Shanti listened to an AI 'podcast' interpretation of a theoretical scientific paper I published on desert tortoise speciation. He was inspired to write the underlying synth track with 'nature' sounds and a sample from the AI interpretation. I layered an additional 8 tracks from my theremini to create a piece that reflects an ecosystem with all its species adapting and evolving.

Adaptation

Based in Tucson, Arizona, he currently hosts his weekly mix show, “Beyond the Groove” on 99.1 FM KTDT Downtown Radio, which showcases live mixes of progressive electronic music from all over the world.

As a DJ, 12 Theory’s strengths of unique track selection, strong programming, and musical storytelling make for flowing, emotionally-charged sets that also translate well to the dancefloor.
