i've gone and done it. "rings into clouds" (well, Beads, in this case).... i've always loved Rings, the ease of use without it needing a VCA and envelope and the pluck and bell sounds are fantastic. here Rings is sequenced by a Melodicer and then going through a variety of processing including Beads and Rossum Morpheus and Panharmonicon. after it was recorded i varispeeded it down 5 half steps... as i usually do. it's all a little busy and such.. but, i had endless versions and tweaks and figured i'd just post it up

wasn't sure what i thought of this at first. it started, on the modular, as a vastly different patch, and one i was quite uninspired by... but when i got it here an kept listening there was a distinct rhythmic pulse that pulled me.... and approaches Gas territory that's quite interesting.

a massive wind storm blew through new york last night, plummeting our temperatures to 14 below zero (F) this morning. our town, buried in 100' oak trees with exposed power lines, is very prone to losing power. we lost power twice during the day and that's really not good for my studio... so i was too afraid to go back in and work for the rest of the day. shortly before midnight i figured i'd at least record this wind so i stuck my field recorder out on the deck. i edited out a bunch of the overblown limiter as the wind hit the mics, but, you get the idea. it was really windy.

Before 2018 I used to collect music into different playlists based on genre and vibes. But as of 2018 I mostly publish mixed playlists consisting of songs of different genres so take my apologies. There is little to no time on my hands to dig up more (life is short!). These playlists often include synth and some other genres mixed in so don't wonder. I still find them pretty good.
