Celebrating 10 years of solidly cerebral club music releases, Infinite Machine is celebrating its first decade with an 19 -track compilation full of heat from label mainstays, new signees and some of the friends who helped them along the way. Infinite Machine was born out of a desire to run an dance imprint with the same DIY ethos as the hardcore/screamo labels that xWOLFx, IM's owner, was previously involved with. Over its decade-long lifespan, the label has rapidly evolved into a central figure within the hybrid dance music scene that’s formed on the internet; a place where dembow drum patterns can easily sit next to Sinogrime samples and dubstep sensibilities. In the last few years, as the label and it’s artists have matured, Infinite Machine’s output has taken a slightly cyberpunk turn, moving away from pure dance-floor slammers and towards more conceptual works which deal with our ultra-accelerated culture or soundtrack imagined off-planet worlds.

Some highlights from the release include Galtier’s ‘My Mess is a Face’, a real head-spinner full of granular synthesis and warped sample work. Later on in the comp, Bungalovv delivers a sensory delight with ‘Alacran’, a track so dense with layers of sound design it feels like you can sink your teeth into it. All Centre signee Duswunder pops up mid-way through the release with the frenetic and furious ‘Black Bile’ which is absolutely not a track to be missed. IDM upstart Daniel Ruane’s contribution ‘ZZZZZ’ is hypnotic perfection - one of those compositions that really has to be heard to be believed. Towards the end of the release, long-time Infinite Machine signee Yilan appears with ‘Cortisol’, another slow mind-bender of a track full of siren-like synths and rolling stutters of percussion. And rounding out proceedings is W3C’s ‘Templar’, a great example of the sort of forward-thinking music Infinite Machine loves to release. It’s a track rooted in club culture but, at the same time, transposed away from that context to some other-worldly space.

In an era of dance music consumption where genre trends or in-vogue labels can rapidly switch from flavour of the month to faint memories, this 10-year milestone is a testament to the independent label's unwavering enthusiasm for unearthing fresh talent and pushing our releases at a relentless pace, much like the hardcore labels xWOLFx previously ran. Three cheers for another decade of jaw dropping releases and Infinite Machine's commitment to the church of DIY.

Un ensamble cadencioso, lleno de áureas y ritmos atípicos, futuristas, sublimes y complejos. ‘NO ESTABA EN CONDICIONES’ es una figura perfecta y hedonista acerca de sueños encapsulados dentro de una constelación bella e infinita, en donde poco a poco se construye una base rítmica que conversa consigo misma para ir mostrando la manera tan exacta y puntual con la que está ensamblado este LP.
‘VEINTIUNO’ como álbum completo es una figura continua, perfectamente esquematizada y prófuga de sueños, de catarsis, de invenciones sonoras sentimentales, psicológicas y de introspección continua, en donde la mente y arreglos de El Irreal Veintiuno convergen de maneras e impulsos recurrentes y ambivalentes.
Hablar del conjunto de referencias sonoras y la infinita gama prismática de atmosferas sonoras sobre las que sienta sus bases rítmicas, ‘VEINTIUNO’ esta lleno de matices de krautrock, post punk electrónico, triphop y drum and bass. Ensoñaciones y mezclas emocionales de minimal techno y glitches sonoros de la más avanzada darkwave industrial.
Un álbum que busca sintetizar a través de veintiún tracks los pensamientos más emblemáticos e introspectivos de varias etapas musicales, de vida y de experiencias proyectivas que la mente de El Irreal dibujan durante sus pasajes musicales y de exploración mental constante.
́VEINTIUNO ́ se convierte en cada track y conforme avanza en una representación experimental y musical dedicada a las almas, fantasmas y divinidades del imaginario imperfecto que busca unirse e innovarse a sí mismo lejos de las fórmulas sobre las cuales se adaptan sentimientos y emociones, que rodean y construyen la personalidad de El Irreal como un productor consolidado.
Son veintiún maneras de enmarcar sonidos complejos, abstractos, eclécticos y que exponen sin límite alguno, el proceso de innovación y de adaptación a la diversidad de referencias emocionales que rodean a El Irreal. Esta obra artística provoca y nivela una ambición por explorar nuevos sonidos, nuevas formas y guarda en cada beat un sinfín de sonidos orgánicos y frágiles, lo que le brinda una emotividad especial al álbum.
‘ASI BAILAN LOS OLVIDADOS’ y ‘GRITOS OLOR AZUFRE’ recrean una serie de experiencias mundanas que reflejan la fragilidad de los ideales y tradicionales que conforman al ser humano dentro de su complejidad a través de miedos, sueños y aspiraciones.
Son veintiún formas de deletrear un sentimiento en claves morse, beats por minuto y frecuencias auditivas que erizan los sentidos. Veintiún interconexiones neuronales y estelas radiales que encabezan la proyección más sincera y emocionalmente climática.
Veintiún maneras de escapar de las clasificaciones, de huir de géneros y de ensamblar una idea original. Son veintiún visuales sonoros que seducen, sacuden y transmiten con apasionado desenfreno la idea de crecer, de evolucionar, de hacer arte sin abandonar ideales.
Veintiún elementos elípticos que buscan la autorrealización. Veintiún maneras trepidantes de desquebrajar lo convencional y observar el mundo con locura. Son veintiún respuestas dedicadas a uno mismo, al porqué tardamos tanto en abandonar el confort para buscar la evolución. Una liberación indefinida de energía y ambientes geométricos trazados a detalle en donde el ambient y el progressive transgreden la luz del universo que potencialmente genera una mutación casi imposible, pero que El Irreal agota en esta expedición de lo personal, para convertirla en un viaje sin retorno a través de lo incierto y nunca escrito.
