Motiviert von der ästhetischen Qualität von Foley-Samples und speziell solchen, die eine (para-) linguistische Ebene aufweisen, ist eine knapp einstündige Geräuschkomposition entstanden, die durch zusätzliche Melodiefragmente vom Synthesizer begleitet wird.
Der ehemalige Musik und Medien-Student Armin Mieth nutzte für das Stück konsequent den kompletten Inhalt einer Sample-Datenbank für Film-Sound (Foleys). Über den Verlauf der Komposition scheinen sich die Geräusche mehr und mehr Stimme und Sprache anzunähern, ohne aber konkret etwas zu erzählen – ein offenes Kunstwerk im besten Sinne. Mittlerweile ist dieses Stück akustischer Kunst bei dem Label Chocolate Monk auf CD erschienen, und Noise-Musik Legende Matt Krefting äussert sich auf der Labelwebsite folgendermassen: “Weirdly hypnotic, the kind of thing that lets your ears perk up to eagerly pick up detail while the rest of your body melts into the couch.”

English Version:
Motivated by the aesthetic quality of Foley samples, especially those with a (para) linguistic level, Armin Mieth has composed an hour-long noise composition, which is accompanied by an additional, constant melody fragment performed on a synthesizer.
Armin Mieth, a former Music and Media student, makes systematic use of an entire foley sample database of film sound effects in his piece. During the course of the composition, the sounds appear to become more and more similar to the human voice and speech, but without saying anything concrete – an open-ended piece of art in the best sense. The track has now appeared as a CD on the Chocolate Monk label, and Matt Krefting, a prominent figure in the noise music scene, said the following on the label's website: “Weirdly hypnotic, the kind of thing that lets your ears perk up to eagerly pick up detail while the rest of your body melts into the couch.”
The work was produced in the project module of the Music and Text major concentration.

VI - Raum 1

Ein Medley vom (deutschen) Soundtrack unserer lieblings Science Fiction Zeichentrickserie aus der Jugend.
Christian Bruhn hat 1980 eigens einen Soundtrack für die deutsch synchronisierte Version der japanischen Serie geschrieben und produziert. Der original Soundtrack ist zwar nicht übel, aber die deutsche Produktion übertrumpft das Original mit seinen spacig funkigen Discosounds. 
Wir haben uns 4 Lieder herausgepickt und zu einem Medley zusammengestellt: Vor dem Start - Feinde greifen an - Der Böse - Captain Future (das Hauptthema)
Kein simples Projekt, aber es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht die Synthsounds nachzubasteln und die Gitarrensounds ähnlich funkig hinzubekommen. Als Plus haben wir eigene Geigenlines eingebaut um dem Ganzen unseren eigenen Touch zu verleihen.

Die Illustration stammt übrigens von Nicolas Bannister, der u.a. auch großartige Kinoplakate zeichnet, und es gibts sie auf Society6  als Poster zu kaufen.
