Some might say I’m damaged goods
But I am perfectly flawed
My scars are beautiful reminders
Of where my life has been 
I look back in awe
At how life has shaped me
I’ve been cleansed by floods
And forged by fires
Felt the emptiness of nothingness
And the excesses of desires

There is nothing new in these words
You’ve heard them all before
They’re cliché because they’re true
Is my glass half empty or half full
I’m tempted to say it’s overflowing
Or an empty vessel waiting to be used
Sometimes I’m confused by living
Thinking that it’s over or just begun
One moment crying the next amused
