Deepertale is an AU that takes place in the aftermath of a nearly complete Genocide Run. Alphys has hidden all the survivors in the True Lab. Flowey was the only one who got in the human's way and lived to tell the tale (and that was by escaping within an inch of his life). The human has chosen not to erase the timeline yet, and walks the dusty Underground while down further below the monsters cower in fear. Snowdrake's mother takes the role of Toriel, and she's hidden away in a secret section of the lab Alphys built for her. It's a massive walk-in freezer. No one really knows about it, but even if they did, they wouldn't want to be there. If the temperature wouldn't ward them off, the atmosphere of pure misery would.

RALSEI: "I don't know what you think our intentions are, Mr. Seer, but..."
RALSEI: "... we really do want to help you! We--"
NIKOLAS: "I know. He lost his crown. You want to help us find it."
NIKOLAS: "Your intentions have never been a mystery to me."
NIKOLAS: "I know what I've seen. I have my reasons."
NIKOLAS: "You are in no place to get yourselves involved."
NIKOLAS: "You are not strong enough to stop what's coming."
SUSIE: "Do you know who you're talking to right now?"
SUSIE: "We KNOW we can help. At least let us prove ourselves."
NIKOLAS: "Oh? Let you prove yourselves? Alright."

[BATTLE START]

ENCOUNTER TEXT:
* NIKOLAS stands his ground.

FLAVOR TEXT:
* The treetops are waving like the ocean.
* NIKOLAS's eyes shine with moonlight.
* Old stars stare down at you from the heavens.
* The bell tolls for something...
* Smells like the night sky.

1. You should know to trust in me.
2. I've been studying the art of prediction before I even became Seer...
3. What I've seen... I know what it means. I've done all the research I can do.
4. It's a foolish act, to try to change fate. And yet... / ... No one aware could afford to let it happen.
5. The balance of LIGHT and DARK will cease to exist. / Not in favor of one or the other... but in CHAOS.
6. I saw THE TOWER... and the light atop it shone a terrible color...
7. We are closer than ever to our final hour, lightners...!
8. The crown we seek is no normal crown. It is a HEIRLOOM. / An object that gives its wearer the power they need to rule.
9. Someone wanted that power, and now they're getting it. / You created the opening they needed, all because you thought the Spade King had to go!
10. They have two of the four HEIRLOOMS. Just one can cause enough destruction in the wrong hands!
11. ... but all this talking, it's pointless, isn't it? I have to convince you through other means.
12. If you make it through this, then I'll be forced to make my last attack a brutal one...

NIKOLAS: "...Then it's done. Prepare yourself, Lighteners..."

[Clyde appears from the entrance.]

CLYDE: "Nikolas!!!"
NIKOLAS: "Clyde?! Get out of here!!"
CLYDE: "No!! Not until you stop fighting them!"
NIKOLAS: "This is our last chance, Clyde! I have to do something!"
NIKOLAS: "And if this is what it has to be... So be it!!!"

[Nikolas's final attack takes place. Before he can make the finishing move, Clyde stands in the way.]

CLYDE: "STOP!!!"
NIKOLAS: "... Clyde... Move over. I have to--"
CLYDE: "You said that trying to change fate was stupid!!"
CLYDE: "And I know you're NOT stupid! So why are you doing this?!"
CLYDE: "They aren't bad!!"
NIKOLAS: "..."
NIKOLAS: "... Alright."

[Nikolas stops. The battle ends.]

NIKOLAS: "I guess... Desperation got the best of me."
NIKOLAS: "Since I can't change the future..."
NIKOLAS: "I'll have to accept it."

[Nikolas throws the Lens into the forest below.]

NIKOLAS: "If they want their HEIRLOOMs... then they've got their third."
CLYDE: "..."
NIKOLAS: "Clyde."
NIKOLAS: "Why don't you show me your treehouse?"
CLYDE: "..."
CLYDE: "... Okay."

[They both walk out of the scene.]

RALSEI: "..."
SUSIE: "..."
RALSEI: "... Does anyone else feel..."
SUSIE: "Like we just made a huge mistake?"
* Ralsei nods reluctantly.
SUSIE: "... No. We're gonna fix this."
SUSIE: "That stuff he said about fate? We'll prove him wrong."
SUSIE: "We'll get that crown back, and we'll stop whatever is coming."
SUSIE: "It's not gonna happen. Not on OUR watch."
SUSIE: "Let's go, Kris."

My longest cover yet! This one was particularly difficult because there aren't any isolations or MIDIs of it yet; had to do it completely by ear! I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out though. Hope you share my sentiment!

So the voices told me to finish this, and like…well I actually tried so yeah LMFAO

I wanted to keep this as close to the originals feel as possible, so I kept most of the melodies and stuff the exact same with the same drums too. All I did was merely add onto the existing loops and make it snazzier. Hope you guys enjoy it!

The running joke of this is that Mr. Cloog from that one hilarious video is Chara. thats why he is in the background and the dialogue is so…specific 😅
