   I started making beats on an Akai MPC 2000xl.   Most of my influences were guys that were mostly sample based.  This sparked my interest in old records.  It wasn't long before I was uncovering some great music at the flea markets, thrift stores, and record stores.  First I was in it for the samples only but then I started to appreciate the funk, jazz, psychedelic stuff.  I really loved finding those obscure LPs with so much great music.  I felt as if I uncovered some long lost cultural relic of substantial artistic value.  
    I haven't been sampling as much lately for my melodies.  Sampling is great but I wanted to take a new direction.  I like to think those influences are still there in my non-sampled beats.  Anyways,  my older beats incorporate more total sampling.  If thats your thing.

I hope you enjoy what I've done.  My goal is to be unique/underground but still be appealing to the casual listener.
