16 Faces is on remix duty for the elusive up and coming techno hermit Alpha Delta of his debut release "The Moat" on Delphic Iris Records. Complex drum work and funk driven baselines bring a unique broken energy to this 146 bpm hybrid bass jam.

One large dose of 90s rave channeling early prodigy, a hint of IDM rhythm and drums and just a touch of uk bass bottom end bring forth something as dance floor as it is heady. Nostalgic yet innovative. 

The off beat rave stabs and euphoric synth strings are plentiful, there is more than enough in here to get your through any wobbly kneed sunrise at a loose summer festival.

Drox's debut solo 12” EP, "Hexameter." This EP features a high-energy remix by 16 Faces, adding a distinct clattering 160 bpm 808 beatdown to the collection.

“Hexameter” brings together a diverse range of sounds, from machine funk and intricate acid lines to engaging detroit-styled dystopian and alien-like synth scapes. Each track offers a unique auditory experience, inviting listeners to explore new otherworldly sonic territories.

Drox emphasizes rhythmic interplay throughout the EP, with a strong focus on groove. The use of rhythmic hexameters and their accents creates a series of tough, dancefloor-focused electronic groove tools.

These edits were born from the currently unreleased Into the Abyss (Original Mix) and designed to score the short fashion film "Circadian" directed by Petter Jensen and presented by Japanese fashion brand Beaugan, currently available on Youtube here

Into the Abyss weaves together distorted staccato synths fluidly with hauntingly
dissonant strings, dystopian textures and eerie simple melodic motifs. It builds
on the artist’s love for melancholic bass music, and contemporary jungle and
rave, albeit recontextualised into something more cinematic, vivid, and dramatic.
The finely crafted ambience breathes and pulsates around sparse ritual chants,
and fragmented tribal drum work that has been deeply informed by Haitian
Vodou styles.

16 Faces, the co-owner of Delphic Iris Records, is an enigmatic and experimental Berlin-based musician and producer with a keen interest in vinyl culture and a DIY approach to his craft. His productions and performances, as the name suggests, encompass a range of multifaceted styles, often skewing towards the strange, moody, and percussive, with a strong emphasis on unique sound
worlds. Originating from the arid suburbs of Australia and previously based in London, he has an extensive background that has taken him across several continents, enriching his deeply nuanced work with diverse inspirations. His influences include spaced-out ambient electronics, rich IDM rhythms, and a profound appreciation for a diverse array of dystopian UK styled bass music.

For the past year, 16 Faces has been part of Martyn's 3024 mentoring program, where he is honing his arranging skills and delving further into discussions on community building, justice, and integrity within today's electronic music scene and recently had a single out as part of 3024's Undercurrent Vol1 compilation.

During the pandemic, he collaborated with the independent Japanese fashion brand Beaugan. His previously unreleased track "Into the Abyss" was reworked into an eerie ambient synth score for their surreal and mysterious short film "Circadian," released in 2020 and featured on XLR8R.

He has also collaborated with the UK conceptual-noise tape label Algebra of
Need, touring Japan with them. His productions have received positive praise and DJ support from notable artists such as Clouds, Cici, Hybrid Theory, Bloodtrust, Adam Beyer, and Jacques Greene, establishing his credible clout in the industry.
