And yet again we are very excited to welcome another new artist to the Dirt Crew Recordings roster!

The mysterious Italian artist by the name of “Love Will Say No”. A new project by one half of internationally acclaimed Disco act “Fare Soldi”. After we received his demo we were really blown away by the rough and raw fusion of Disco, House and Techno and some great excursions in Indie Electronica with deep cinematic moments. He has a truly unique style in sampling and producing and we are thrilled to release music by him starting with this first EP or better call it a mini album.

The first two tracks were born during lockdowns and, from the same seeds, they develop different themes and feelings: The opening track “When This Is Over” is about those first days being witness of something that is difficult and historical at the same time, holding on to hope. The Disco infused groover “Days of Nothing” is about the other side of that, forced away from our families, friends, jobs, loves, lives: the confusion, the boredom, the months without any perspective about the future. But to be clear, it’s not an EP about the pandemic.

A great stomping and dark dance floor tune is “We Are Choices”. In his own words, this is a track about fate: we truly believe that our choices make our destiny, in a sort of constant motivational post on Instagram from and for morons, but the truth is that we are also the result of somebody else’s choices, and our lives are like the ones we make and those that we undergo, get knotty together.

One of our favorite little jams on this release is the blissful “Post Modern Ballad About You and Me”, this is such a beautiful piece of acid psychedelia with a great emotional touch. In his own words, exactly how one day a girl and a boy meet for no reason, and many years later they’re a family: and this is what the song is about, in my case.

The slow and steadily building “Now Say Goodbye to Your Friends” is another highlight for us. A real journey with a great fade out towards the end .. into the night. In his own words: In the past years I’ve moved from my hometown. Since then, I’ve been able to go back there always less than I wanted, so every time I was there it felt to me like the last day of a holiday, trying to spend time together with all my friends and having a good time, before leaving town without knowing when this would happen next time. This track was born during one of those nights, walking alone and drunk around the streets of my hometown in the small hours, just to smell and breath its air, before leaving.

Closing out with a real beast! “She Likes Blood”. We loved this one even if it is not really fitting the other tunes that much as it has this brutal drive and roar to it! In his own words: It is a raw jam born in one afternoon. I’ve tried to polish and smooth it many times, but it always refused to obey, like a wild animal. So, i left it like that, growling and snarling, waiting for a dance floor. We think it is a great way to end this EP and make people excited for what’s next to come from “Love Will Say No”!

San Diego based DJ and producer - Noni proceeds releases on Misplaced Recordings and his debut release on Paradiso Records back in 2019 with another rich collection of atmospheric club tracks.

Thick, interweaving melodies rebound of reverberated vocals which work to layer up a heady brew - all suffused with propulsive, low-fi grooves that sit them squarely on the dance-floor - just in time for our return to 'normality'.

@eckk_ also weighs in with a stripped, techy remix that casts images of late night / early sunset parties and rounds off a nicely varied and highly functional set of club tracks.

PREMIERE: Noni - Zanzibar [Low Recordings]

There were all sorts of shimmering shapes and colours floating atop the water as he watched perched upon a boat heading down stream. They moved softly on the rolling waves as they travelled through the old town - onlookers gazed out upon the spectacle, they say nestled amidst the reeds on the shore. For some of them it would be the first time that they had ever seen a parade or procession as grand and fantastic as this - the wild colours were electric and ethereal aboard the floating ships. It were as if they'd touched down from outer space. 

Because of Art is a producer who is receiving wide acclaim and support from some of the biggest and best dj's out there. With releases on the likes of Skream and Sasha's labels thus far, now he sets up shop on Anja Schneider's Sous Music with a track called 'Ethereal'.

The second release on Alan Dixon’s Love Attack label comes from the man himself, delivering a dreamy new EP entitled 'Night Time Melodies’.

Following high-profile releases on Gerd Janson's Running Back and Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant, Alan moves to his deeper side kicking things off with ’Night Time Melodies’ - an infectious piano house workout that sees super-slick keys dance elegantly around a chuggy, bumping bassline and beautifully resonant synth licks. Once again demonstrating his unfaltering ability to craft alluring, feel-good dance music Alan offers up a slice of sun-drenched optimism.

The track also receives a groove-tinged remix from Kiko Navarro moving things into the main room. Punchy snares and shuffling hats set a footwork-provoking rhythm underneath energetic, stabbing piano chords, with Navarro gradually working in a delectable wobbling acid line ramping up the energy for a sense-tingling, euphoric re-work.

The release is backed up by 'Tell Me When’, a modern-sounding club track to be heard in places such as Berlin's Panorama Bar. Pillared by an irresistible bassline, Alan lays down a dusty kick-hat pattern, punctured by ecstatic claps and engulfed in a plethora of scintillating synths.
