Pearson Sound returns to his Hessle Audio label with 'Hornet', an 808-laced club workout which combines metallic drones and precision engineering for maximum dancefloor impact. Road tested at clubs and festivals across the world during the first half of 2024, it gives a taste of new material to come from the London based DJ, producer and mix engineer.

The legendary Secretsundaze, now led solely by James Priestley, is set to embark on an exciting new chapter in 2024. He has taken the project into a more focussed club-leaning lane, reflecting his vision through fresh solo productions under the Secretsundaze moniker. 

As well as this Secretsundaze marks a new chapter in the institution’s storied history with the foundation of the new imprint 9FINITY (@9finity-hq). The label aims to run with this descriptor through no-nonsense, discerning dance records from artists at the vanguard of modern club music. 

Making a statement with its maiden release, is a vinyl only V/A compiled with the considered curation synonymous with the Secretsundaze name. 9FINITY001 brings together the talents of Eoin DJ, DJ Life, Luca Attanasio, Coffintexts and E-Talking across 5 tracks and digital bonus that act as a distillation of the label’s sonic vision. The debut release, 9FINITY001, is set to drop on September 19th.

In celebration of this milestone and in true Secretsundaze style is the announcement of the 9FINITY launch party at London’s iconic Pickle Factory on September 28th. The event welcomes E-Talking and club favorite Lora Mipsum to the pickle spaceship, alongside Secretsundaze for a night of heads down, hands up dance music. PREMIERE: DJ Life - Aberration [9FINITY]

Danny Goliger has been steadily rising as one of the forefront bass & techno producers in L.A. for several years with releases on staple labels such as Dirtybird, Scuffed Recs, 3024 & Magic City alongside his residency on the renowned Dublab Radio. We are super excited to welcome him to the Faux Poly family with his stunning EP 'Say I Do.'

In Danny's own words: "Inspiration was pretty wide ranging on this EP. From UK funky, to dembow, to dubstep, post-dubstep, and garage. I've incorporated elements of these grooves and aesthetics into modern bassy club tracks."

The EP blends together two 4x4 rollers with "Say I Do" and "Weightless," alongside halftime bass led dubstep tracks "Gimme That" and "Pearls." All of these ideas were born out of modular hardware jams and delivered with Danny's distinctive ear for detail. The whole EP has already become a firm favourite within the Faux Poly family, and if you've seen any of us play this summer, then chances are you've been lucky enough to hear these on a big system already.

Originally released on the ‘For The People’ EP for the Hypercolour label’s 100th release, stalwart producer KiNK’s ‘Kazan’ track gets the remix treatment from Zed Bias.

Emerging in the late 1990s, Zed Bias became known for his innovative blend of garage, grime, house, and bass music. His breakthrough track “Neighbourhood” became a staple of the UK garage scene. 

Over the years, Zed Bias has worked with various artists across genres, shaping the evolution of UK dance music. Beyond garage, his versatile productions have also embraced dubstep, jungle, and future bass, ensuring his lasting influence in the underground music scene. He continues to push boundaries with each project.

Following the recent ‘Aset Forever EP’ by label bosses Dusky, 17 Steps announces its next release in the form of the ‘Off Peak EP’ by innovative Russian duo Formally Unknown. The three broken beat originals will be familiar to anyone who has seen label owners’ Dusky DJ recently.
Lead track ‘Off Peak’ offsets a breakdown of deep, Detroit-nodding chords with thunderous bass, modular bleeps and broken percussion that will test the outer limits of any sound system.
On the remix, Warehouse Music’s Mella Dee flips the original with 4x4 kicks, spacey pads and layered percussion that glides in and out seamlessly, providing the EP with a hazy, dubbed out techno gem.
Industrial broken beat jam ‘Burnin’ again blends atmospheric chords with chopped samples to create a carefully crafted leftfield trip that feels like the perfect soundtrack to an industrial How It’s Made video.
Closing things off ‘Arp Three’ brings things to a darker, stripped back close in a panic alarm buzz of broken bass and twisted FX - with distant rave divas crackling through the mix.

Following on from the 'Aset Forever' EP by label bosses Dusky, the next release on 17 Steps comes courtesy of Russian duo Formally Unknown, who've previously appeared on Moscow's Capital Bass and their own Bass Oddity imprint. Out 19th October, the 'Off Peak' EP exists somewhere near the intersection between Detroit techno, UK bass weight and the CoOp scene.

We're very happy to be premiering the title track, which mixes twitchy bleeps and thunderous bass pulses with splintered percussion and a butter-smooth breakdown. So deep you'd need a submarine to even catch a glimpse.
