2022 is looking good for this West Indian Wheel Up Selecta, with a handful of big label releases already under his belt and plenty more in the pipeline! Formula has some very exciting upcoming projects, both solo and with the newly formed trio ‘Western Curriculum’, as well as something we can’t quite spill the beans on yet! 

What makes Formula such a great producer is that he refuses to stick to one niche of drum and bass. If something sounds good he makes it, he won’t be limited to one sub-genre or one style. This release is no different. 

 ‘I Can’t Remember’ Starts with melodic synth work, which introduces the main vocals that are accompanied by a funky guitar riff. A rolling bass draws us up to the drop, unleashing the perfect blend of an 808s and Reese bassline. By now you are singing along, an anthem has been born. 

‘Criminology’ is made for the dancefloor. Big synth energy and radio-friendly vocals build-up to what is undoubtedly a peak time tune, sure to bring the energy up to 10!

This Various Artist compilation is curated in support of British Columbia, Canada, which has been affected by Historic flooding across many of the southern parts of the province. This disaster has displaced thousands and has caused ongoing issues with infrastructure in many of its communities, with the risk of more damage on the way.

As creatives, the one thing we can do is use our passion to raise funds for those affected by this disaster. Once the idea was made to step up and curate an album, we were approached by Digital Motion BC who were already sitting on a 12 track LP, that they wished to donate to this project.

 In addition, many local artists have offered their music alongside some heavy-hitting international talents as well.
 This album shows how compassionate our scene is, and we are eternally grateful for all the love and support!

We are happy to welcome Leo Zen to All Crew Sessions for Volume 8, with an hour of top-notch Drum & Bass mixed with precision!

Born and raised in Japan, Leo Zen developed an intense passion for all things Bass at a young age. Originally immersing himself in the production side of music, he quickly discovered a knack for creating solid, grungy, hard basslines, incorporating deep melodic undertones that purveyed a sense of subtle urgency and emotion. Seeking to expand his knowledge and co-create with his peers, Leo decided to move to one of the bass capitals of the world, British Columbia. Upon arrival Leo quickly carved out a reputation for delivering extremely high-energy sets; consisting of original production, diverse mixing, captivating stage presence, and an uncanny timing that has annihilated dance floors from Canada to Costa Rica, and all over Europe. With releases on Druid Records, Really Good Recordings, and Aufect Recordings, he has solidified himself as one of the premier Drum N Bass producer/DJ's in Western Canada. Always learning and growing Leo continues to use music as his tool to express his experiences, proving there are no boundaries, with the goal to elevate minds through sound!

We welcome fellow Canadian RMS to the label with his standout Constellations EP. Stepping drums, deep basslines and dark textures, these tracks take you on a journey through deep space. 

Paul Currie aka RMS was born and currently residing in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. He was first introduced to jungle/DNB back in 1998. From that day on he spent his time practicing and honing his skills on the turntables. It wasn't until around 2010 that he started experimenting with the production side of things. After many sleepless nights in the studio, in 2014 RMS landed his first release on Dj SS's label "Formation Records" with his track titled "Reality Check"

2017 was a good year for RMS with many releases hitting the top 10 on Juno download and top 100 on Beatport and receiving lots of support and love from many of the scene's top-rated producers and DJs. Fresh off his nominations for best track of the year with his title track "Back to reality", breakthrough producer and break-through DJ of the year in the "We Love Jungle" awards RMS has been making big waves in the Jungle/DnB world.  

2022 is starting off as a good year with his latest induction to the Program Recordings imprint, Dispatch Recordings, Darkmode and Rebel Music.  You can expect to see an array of releases and some remixes lined up for the rest of the year as well as some mini tour dates running across Canada for summer 2022.

Mannequin starts us off with a moody intro which sets the stage for the single. Fluttering synths cascading around a lush atmosphere prepare us for the silky smooth drop. Pure class.

On the flip, we have Sweet Mistakes, which leans towards their Liquid side while staying deep and rolling. The thick drum groove is accompanied by a vocal that sticks, sitting on top of a warm low-end. This is a daily listener.
