"My goal with “Gangsta Gangsta” was to find an intersection point between Hip Hop and a style of electronic music that was a comprehensive representation of every element of the Dr. Fresch brand. I kept the track at 105BPM to preserve the integrity of Baby E’s verses (and the original of course), so my instrumental perspective became a crossbreed between slowed-down G-House and indie electro. First off, I have to say that it was a treat to work with Sarah Hudson on "Reality." I've been a fan of her work for years, so I took it seriously, and I made a deliberate effort to create a song that feels as dynamic as possible. My hope is that people will appreciate the peaks and valleys that I tried to interject throughout the track. Ultimately, I wanted to create something that was melodic, heavy and uplifting at its core. I hope all of that comes across to the listeners. Much love to everyone for the support.
