London producer John Dunk aka Cameo Blush has always had an eye for the more mind-bending and abstract spectrum of dance sounds. Starting out on Nick Höppner's Touch From A Distance before releasing on Unknown Untitled and Ross From Friends’ new Scarlet Tiger imprint, Dunk's fascination with off-kilter electronics has made him one of dance music's most interesting rising prospects of late. His latest offering is 'Lucky': three tracks which continue his left-field odyssey with a melange of skittered drums and moody pads.

Showing no signs of slowing down with two EPs under his belt already this year, Cameo Blush has toasted an exclusive mix for Dummy sprinkled with some previously unheard material. "I wanted to put a lot of different stuff in this mix, and to try sum up the music that has influenced me over the last few years - a lot of these tracks I collected over lockdown in a big folder on my computer. It was fun to try and join the more disparate parts together in this mix," he says. "I'm usually quite precious about putting rough versions of my own tunes in mixes but decided to go for it with this one so there's a few old projects, demos and unreleased stuff in there."

Here is my mix for Bicep's FMB Mixtape series. The whole thing takes place within a range of 130 – 140 BPM and is dancefloor focused. I wanted to keep it cohesive and go energetic/heavier in parts. Plenty of unreleased tunes from me and my friends, and also lots of bassy four-to-the-floor bits that I’m playing atm alongside some older music and a tinge of techno stuff. Here is my mix for the Feel My Bicep mixtape series.The mix was recorded in my home bedroom studio in Haggerston, drafted on my technics 1210’s and CDJ’s and then put together in Traktor and Logic Pro for a few tweaks. I have some effects chains I use in Logic for my productions which I love and wanted to utilise in the mix to give an essence of my production throughout, including Vahalia (the best!) plugins and Phat FX filters.

Aleksandir (Alexander Lawrence) is an Istanbul-based DJ and producer. Alex’s first releases and debut album explored laid-back house, while his breakout hit ‘Yamaha’ (2018) hinted at a more club-ready sound and its overnight success threw him onto international stages, developing his skills as a DJ.

When he’s not noodling on Logic or nudging the jog wheel, Aleksandir co-pilots the Artesian Sounds label and co-curates the club night Miks in London.
