A new edit of this track from a few years back...at 10 minutes plus it was a bit to get through for the casual listener and so this is essentially the last 4 minutes, with some mild processing tweaks to the original stereo mix from 2016.  Enjoy!

Mono mix of December's track.  Experimental modal piece, the last recording of 2016 by Master Imp.  An unfortunate technical glitch means that only the mono mix is currently available.  We are looking in the vaults for additional material, which will probably get blended into January 2017's track.  Stay tuned...

Master Imp - January 2017

Version four of the March 2017 track, take 17, edited and mixed March 12, 2017 at 10.54 PM.  

Technical glitch meant the drumkit was recorded in mono but no big deal.  Multiple electric pianos, bass, three tracks of the strat through vox ac30.  akg, røde, electro voice, allen & heath. more reverb.

Still some things to fix, but we like it so here it is.  Enjoy!

This mix of version 4 was completed 3:31:17 at 5.45 PM.  Three guitars, bass, drums, mellotron, with organ intro thru a leslie.  Recorded over the last few days, given this mix today.  Beamed through snow & clouds to outer space, and back to Earth.  Thank you for listening!

1810 Sound is one of the oldest netlabels, founded in 1997 in New York City.  It was intended as a successor to the East Village indie label Quixotic Records which had folded that year.  The internet was still in its infancy but it was clear that digital distribution was going to be the future (also way cheaper). 

Conveniently, it is also the name given to the mobile sound recording unit used by the bands and individual artists that released music for the label. Over the years it’s included every type of technology we could get our hands on (the cheaper the better).

The result of the last 24 years is a seemingly endless bounty of experimental music and sound recordings from nearly a dozen artists. We carefully select a precious few from the vault for public presentation, given as freely as possible depending upon the ever-changing nature of technology and the internet.  Why do we do this?  A very good question. Is any of this accurate or true?  Another reasonable question. 

New and archival tracks are added every now and then, so stay tuned.  Any questions?  Contact us—even we might not have any answers.
