Dalam sebuah keluarga, ayah dan ibu serta anak-anak mempunyai berbagai peran yang tidak hanya satu. Tapi berlapis, bahkan dapat dikerjakan dalam satu waktu. Hal-hal domestik mempunyai berbagai stigma yang sejak dahulu kita warisi, bahkan nanti kita wariskan secara tidak sengaja, jika tidak melihat lebih jauh atas apa yang terjadi di dalam keluarga. Lebih jauh itu artinya keluar ya. Kami merespon kaya Kuncir SV dengan pendekatan keluarga Bali, yang tidak lepas dari keyakinan, kepercayaan, dan keyakinan laku. Bahkan karya Kuncir kerap mempertanyakan ulang, atas dasar yang sudah terkultuskan. Kami juga demikian, mencoba berbagai piranti untuk mencari esensi.

Apocalypse Or Whatever Comes

This is the music for a contemporary dance performance called Bakabadi. A collaboration between Abugrey Lobubun (Dancer) , Kyla Callista (Visual Artist) and Agha Praditya (Music Composer). BAKABADI is a new dance and multidisciplinary work choreographed by Abugrey Lobubun. It is a combination of two words 'baka' and 'abadi'. Both words are synonymous and have the meaning of ‘unchanged and eternal’. This work departs from the beauty of Cenderawasih - The Birds of Paradise (especially male birds of paradise) from Papua, who has the ability to dance in a complex and astonishing movements. This work is trying to visualize the beautiful form and movements of the birds of paradise, by mix-matching the traditional dances of Papua with a touch of hip-hop and contemporary. Thus, Bakabadi is a kind of prayer to God, a voice for birds of paradise and it’s habitat so that their beauty continues to last and protected.
