Here's the first hour of my set played on the Sunday evening at 6pm at Springkell in Scotland. A beautiful small party curated and organised by Ario from https://soundcloud.com/astralindustries and soundcloud.com/o-utlier It was a magical few days with so much great music and friendly faces at every turn. 

I was feeling a little fragile when i stepped up to play after 2 days of indulgence but enjoyed warming things up. Already looking forward to next year! Thanks to Moy Santana for the recording and to all the Springkell crew : )

A glimpse of Springkell

This year’s first edition of my Voyage de Lux radio show is now available for streaming from the 1BTN audio clouds.
A deep acid-laced exploration through Electronica, Hardcore loops, Techno-breaks, Electro rhythms, Dub-Techno & IDM. 
It features some tight remixes (one from from ERP, the other by Aphex Twin), a cosmic classic from Mixmaster Morris, more than a few punchy productions from the man like MOY, a timeless track from The Black Dog, the recent release on EON recordings from Brummie talent Jayson Wynters, a classy 90’s gem from Steve Rachmad, and a killer cut from another dutch maverick - Martyn,  plus the usual sprinkling of tracks from The Advent, Sansibar, 214 & Adapta.

It may not be for everybody but Dub Techno when it's done well, is up there, in the higher echelons of electronic music. You wont really get it until you hear it on a proper sound system,  it just doesn't work on a phone or laptop. You cant flick through it either.  You have to let the tracks breathe and do their thing.  Put it on loud and let it do its thing
