So I recently dusted of some of my old records and cleaned them in order to start ripping some of my old classics and unreleased promos into the digital format. It made me realise how much I loved the oldskool garage sound when things were more "raw", rough productions and not as clean and polished as they are today.

Smokey is the 2nd artist on this release to make a follow up on his first 1Forty Funky & Garage Release. This time he comes through with a 2 step UKG banger with the signature Smokey crackles and bassweight in tact.

Smokey ‘Bubblin’ B is one of, if not the most active DJ & Producer in the Garage scene with a career spanning over 8 years in production. Releases on the likes of Sam Divine’s Label D-Vine Sounds as well as Low Steppa’s critically acclaimed Simma Black its proven that his production is always pushing the boundaries for UKG. Having collaborated with some of the finest names in the Garage scene such as MOAD (Mind Of A Dragon), B-Live, Hatcha and loads more its seen him play the majority of London’s major venues on a heap of occasions.

More recently Smokey’s music has been premiered by Target on 1Xtra and last year ‘License’ featured on Pure Garage mixed by FooR. The London born producer has gathered consistent support from a ton of names spanning from Flava D, DJ Q, Royal T, Matt Jam Lamont and even the likes of Tech superstars Richy Ahmed & Josh Butler as well as every DJ’s favourite DJ - DJ EZ. This summer has seen him branch out into radio as well recently landing himself a slot on Flex FM (101.4) every Saturday night 6-8pm.
